A small museum with artworks by Lady Waterford. The history of the school was also very interest. The village itself is also vert quaint

We called here by chance as we were in the area.
This is a small museum which displays artwork and consists of one large room which was previously a school with a beautifully decorated ceiling.
It is free to enter but welcome donations and at the time of our visit you could also buy a raffle ticket instead of a making a donation.
It's a lovely quiet setting.

Having visited the Hall previously we noticed it’s open for refreshments on Thursdays so decided to try and this reflects out view of the cafe. The room is not large and has 4 tables. Scones were varied and tasty but at £4 each were not cheap. A piece of chocolate cake was also £4 and wasn’t value for money. We’d worked out what we owed before paying and were asked to pay quite a bit more, so we pointed out what the bill should be. A pleasant enough experience but overly priced for the venue and facilities.

interesting building in a lovely quiet village. Inside walls decorated with paintings by Lady Waterford which must have made an interesting schoolday for the kids who used to attend.

Wish I could give Lady Waterford Hall Six stars. It really is excellent to take in the history of Lady Waterford and the good work she carried out for the villagers of Ford. The artwork is amazing and is somewhere we will come back to again next year (will be our fourth or fifth visit).

The pictures inside the hall comleted by Lady Waterford are quite amazing. There's plenty of explanation on how she came to do them. It's well worth a look.

Very interesting and set in a lovely model village.
The lady on reception enhanced our visit by telling us all about the history of Lady Waterford and the Ford Estate.
There are also many other attractions close by such as Ford castle, Etal castle, Heatherslaw light railway and Etal village.

I walked from Etal to Ford and stopped at the museum built by Lady Watter Hall as a village primary school. The roof of the medium-sized building is beautiful. Inside, school supplies from that time and paintings that are thought to have been painted by the lady are on display. The best thing about it is that it has the only public toilet in Ford.

Stayed at b and n in ford and came across this beautiful building and wall murials. So much detail describing each of the pictures. A hidden gem well worth the visit.

If you are in Northumberland a visit to Lady Waterford Hall in Ford is a must. Such an amazing place full of fantastic art work and history related to Lady Waterford, her life and her acts of welfare to the villagers.
