Love the history and the museum that starts you off on the walk along the pier. All the names of the people involved in building & restoring on plaques along the pier. So many friendly community folk out and about. Great views - wonderful place to take photos of the Bristol Channel.

Very quaint and enjoyable but spoilt by awful parking and too many crowds with not enough toilet facilities. This really needs addressing. I guess if you're a local and can just wander down then fine, but we found it very difficult to park along the seafront - and as for toilets, well at 20p a shot! AND WHO CARRIES CASH NOW??? But I've now solved that issue and bought a discreet travel loo, and as I have black rear windows I can sneak in for the biz undetected. Parking is a NIGHTMARE - but then with places such as this - it's the same old same old.

Beautiful pier which we have visited regularly for many years. Marred slightly by one volunteer who was less than friendly. A pleasant welcome is surely essential and some appreciation of customer service? It was a shame when others can be lovely.

A very old and unspoilt pier (no slot machines or shops selling tak) with friendly staff and a cafe at either end.
Great views of Cardiff bay.

We live in the area and so visited the pier for a stroll in the sunshine. We once again encountered a very rude member of staff - I think from memory she may well be the manager. How that lady has still got a job doing anything to do with customer service I'll never know. Last time I wrote to the Board of Directors and they don't seem to care. The pier itself is gorgeous and well-worthy of a visit.

We stopped in Clevedon on the way to south Devon and had no idea about the historic pier. It's £5 per person to visit the museum (you also get a voucher for twelve months free return admission) and walk along the pier. The gentleman volunteer gave us a general overview and was clearly passionate about the pier and it's history. Make sure you go to the porthole room to look through the window to see the underside of the Pier! The gift shop has some lovely bits (and you can enter the gift shop without paying to go on the pier). Worth a visit if you are in Clevedon.

Wonderful place with a certain oriental air, then the coast, has geological gifts worth a visit, the mouth of the Avon River is worth another visit

A beautiful pier that is very well maintained and obviously loved by the local community.
The information centre upstairs to the lovely little shop was very informative and great for children as it was very interactive.
The coffee shop at the end of the pier had a fantastic 360 degree view. The Glass box cafe on the pier also served vegan and gluten free food.

Due to Covid-19 it re-opened on 25/6/20, but not every day, currently limited to only opening Thursdays through to Sundays 11am-5pm (last admission 4.30pm). This is because most of the people you will meet on your visit to the Pier are volunteers and again, due to Covid-19 many are unable to return to volunteering at present. Currently only the open-air areas of Pier are open, so they have reduced entry fee to reflect this. Always check their website or Facebook Page to ensure it's open, as on stormy, rough days it may need to be closed for safety reasons. Fabulous views back to Clevedon & across the Channel, great place for some fresh air whilst enjoying the scenery, & beauty of this 151 year old Pier! Please visit, it's lovely and needs people's support at the moment!

Hi many thanks for your enquiry regarding travelling to Clevedon Pier. This will depend on your method of travel, if by train then London Paddington to Bristol Temple Meads ensure that your train stops at Yatton. You then take a tax from Yatton to Clevedon.

Yes we are dog friendly, just a couple of areas where we ask you not to take your dog - the restaurant, Porthole room and Discover@thePier. Our friendly volunteers will be more than happy to look after your 4 legged friend whilst you have a look at these areas.

I would like to know if they could reconsider having a Balloon Release when it re-opens. There are so many more environmentally friendly things to do and balloons cause do much damage to marine and Wildlife. Thank you
