Went for the cider and gin fest and it just seemed like the regular drinks menu. Very busy place but they do take bookings. Your average local pub, with a nice food menu.

I was invited to this place by a few friends for a drink.
Found it to be a great place to catch up with old friends, more like a club house than a pub. Great atmosphere, good food, reasonable prices, great staff.
Easy parking, worth the visit.

I visit aleast twice a month and always sit on table 37. It is a very friendly place for lunch and you are always made to feel welcome. The fish and chips are excellent and Kate who brings the food to the table is always smiling and cheerful, a credit to Woodies.

Woodies freehouse holds an annual beer festival, its normally the weekend before august bank holiday. This year its on weekend of 16th aug 2019. First night on 16th was a great eve with Ray Lowe and his swing music. All weekend they have different bands and activities planned. Plenty to eat and drink. Thanks to sean and his team of workers.

Out of the way but well worthg finding for some lovely ale and really good pub food. Friendly locals with great Sport coverage and a pint only 3.80...ham, agg anbd chips £7.99. It would be my local if I lived near.

The pub is decent apart from the noise made by annoying and unruly children. On selected days you can enjoy live music. Food is reasonably priced. I attended during a beer festival and I had a chance to taste a variety of beer. I don’t think children should be allowed in this pub because they only run around and annoy guests.

Staff so helpful. Very good venue with reasonably priced buffet and drinks. Good conservatory and outside area set aside for us. Tables etc well-arranged and set up for sitting, eating, DJ and dance floor. Also accommodated our photo booth. Also kept our cars safe in their car park overnight. Would use again. Love this place with its fantastic collection of memorabilia and wooden beams.

it is off the beaten track so if you didn't know it was there you'll miss it lovely to sit out in the front during the evening with a great pint if only they could a way to get rid of the midges!!!!
