If you live in this area, it is a beautiful walk on the elevated boardwalk (to preserve the nature). Quiet, peaceful, perhaps even a bit mystical the further you walk. The Rhino tree is super-neat! Note: it is not a park, but a preserve.

There are no bathrooms here. At 1035 acres this is a good size nature park. The trail is completely comprised by a boardwalk. There is plenty of wildlife to see here. This is a secluded park. Not many visitors.

Great place to get some exercize and view nature, the boardwalk goes through all of the woods and it is very well done with a few places to sit along the way

a very nice nature preserve in Hardin County Ohio. Walking trails, scenic, and plenty of picture taking opportunities.

Nice 1.2 mile walk on the boardwalk through this nature preserve. Very easy walk (handicap accessible the whole way), very relaxing. Saw many wildflowers in bloom as well as a variety of birds. Nice little area to get outdoors

I've been going here for 15+ years, when I'm in the Kenton area. It's always quiet, clean and peaceful. The boardwalk is nice, keeps your feet clean and legs from being exposed to land-level plants. As we walked, we encountered several deer, chipmunks and various bugs & spiders. It's a beautiful walk in a natural setting. There's so much to see while walking, and it's nice to listen to the silence and voices of the woods.
If you're in the area and like a quiet, natural setting, I would encourage you to take a walk here. Its about an hour walk, if you stop and take it all in.

This nature preserve has a boardwalk that is handicapped accessible and is very nice to walk on. Wear bug spray in the spring and summer. Lovely place to watch the seasons change and view wildlife. Ducks, geese, frogs, birds... occasional deer.

Lawrence Woods State Nature Preserve is just over 1000 acres of woods and pond south of Kenton (follow signs off either highway 68 south or highway 292 south). Gates to the half mile long gravel drive are open daily dawn to dusk and deer can often be seen in the field as you approach the upper parking lot. A small lower parking lot is reserved for handicapped visitors The preserve is partially ADA compliant with the parking spaces and the level boardwalk, but the boardwalk does not have kick rails. Also, the hardest part of the visit is navigating the short distance of loose gravel from the car to the ramp onto the boardwalk. The trail wanders through the woods for about 1/4 mile to a junction. from the junction, the boardwalk makes a mile loop through the woods and past a lake. The elderly or those with small children may want to turn right at the junction to head immediately for the lake overlook and then return. People of all ages should be sure to look for the rhinoceros tree at post number two.
