Great time! Great for small kids too!

Rappelling was one of the coolest things I’ve ever done! Our guide was so helpful and took things at our pace. I know for a fact that I will go back to the Hocking Hills area with the rest of my family and have them do this. I could not recommend this more!!

If you are trying to select an activity in Hocking Hills, select this one.
Lucas was patient, knowledgeable, safe and calming. He’s a true professional. Our whole crew was impressed. He made the aventurine a real joy for the whole group with ages ranging from 9-40s.
It is a beautiful hike with tremendous rappels. I would go tomorrow if I could, the kids would say the same.
Ask for Lucas!

Rappelling was amazing!! We had a great time with Lucas as our guide!! Lucas pointed out trees & plants throughout our hike that was very informative. We definitely recommend him to be your guide!!

The highlight of our troop’s Hocking Hills weekend campout was climbing, rappelling, and hiking with Jim's team of experienced and thoughtful guides. We had a group of 16 scouts and fathers. First and foremost the guides were friendly, passionate about their work, and ensured our safety. They tailored the day to our group size and accommodated varying skill and ‘fear levels’ by building up to the ~130 foot rappel over a course of 30 and 60 foot rappels. Training and safety protocols were all clear. All and all a professional and friendly group of guides and a great experience.

We visited Hocking Hills last week and decided to give rappelling a try. Adam was a great instructor/guide. He was definitely safety first and made the adventure memorable. We can’t wait to return so we can spend some more time with Adam.

My whole family had an amazing time! We had never rock climbed before and weren’t quite sure what to expect. Lucas was a phenomenal guide who made the experience perfect for us! A memory we will all cherish forever, I can not recommend this experience enough!

Rappelling was awesome with Lucas! Great young man, truly a professional who made us feel safe and gave us all kinds of knowledge beyond rappelling and nature. He was a perfect guide for my extremely adventurous family and interacted so well with my young adults and husband. They’ve been rock climbing and rappelling for years. They’re always looking for the next thrill and I’m usually the tagalong. Lucas was extremely patient and made me feel very safe. The equipment was in great shape, clean, beautiful scenery and the adventure ran on time. I would do this again! Oh and my family is sky diving next week!

Rappelling the waterfall was amazing. Even though it rained for much of our experience, it did not take away from the fun. Our 11 and 15 year olds loved it. Lucas was incredible. He was knowledgeable about the ecosystem, efficient, and competent.
We enjoyed the fact that after we rappelled, no evidence of us being there was left behind.

We went rock climbing and repelling with Adam today and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. In the area the last couple of days, we have done three ziplining tours, a segue tour, a quick tour of a nature preserve and some hiking. While it has all been wonderful, this has been my FAVORITE activity so far. The physical challenge of the rock climbing was satisfying and the view of the waterfall going down was breathtaking!! I HIGHLY recommend.
Adam, our guide, was wonderful. He was laid back with a great, quiet sense of humour and is clearly very practiced and knowledgeable about the ropes. Encouraging and friendly. Just a really awesome, genuine soul. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Do we need a guide to reach the waterfalls ? It suggested to take a guide

I don't think you need one. From the parking lot cross the street, and follow the path along the stream over the bridge and you will reach the waterfall.
