We traveled from out of state over Labor Day weekend to visit this waterpark, and were SORELY disappointed. There were only 3 attractions that we could actually use. Out of all things, the lazy river was shut down. The water everywhere was cloudy and full of leaves, and everything just seemed old and run down. Overall it was not a pleasant experience. We managed to stay just a couple of hours and that's only because we couldn't get a refund.

Not recommended at all. We went from out of state because we were looking forward to slide in all the attractions, however only 3 were open at the same time. The lady said they were short staff and the lazy river will be close and they will open and closing slides (3 at the time) more than a half were completely close and never opened. We bought pizza and nachos and they were cold and old. The fences and the pool rails were old, rusty and detaching is a safety hazard here!!! Do not spend your money here ! Never again.

I took my family to the beach water park after purchasing tickets at a silent auction. We did enjoy our visit and spent most of our time in the wave pool. The splash zone for kids also seemed really fun for toddlers but it was a little chilly so we didn’t use it much.
I was very disappointed that several of the areas were closed including the ‘baby pool’ area and the lazy river.
We tired to get food but the line was very long and was taking a long time so we decided to leave instead.
There was a large number of intoxicated people visiting. There was one man who couldn’t even walk out of the wave pool (while waves were not on) without someone literally dragging him through the water. The lifeguards didn’t do or say anything. Also, noticed at least one of the lifeguards not scanning the pool at all and was just looking down at something in her chair.
I enjoyed my time because i chose to do so with my family but the facility needs majorly updated and/or fixed/reopened. Lifeguards need to be better trained and obviously alcohol intake needs to be better monitored or taken care of if a guest gets out of control.

My family spent the day at The Beach on August 19, 2019 and had a wonderful time. True, the park needs some updates and repairs but with the waterpark at King's Island taking so many fun-seekers, it's got to be difficult to compete. Most of the slides were open and the kiddie area was nice. Staff was friendly. We'll gladly go again!

I drove an hour and 1/2 to enjoy a day with my kids and grandson. We had to wait in line for 45 mins. to enter when we already had our tickets. They only 4 water slides running, the lazy river was shut down, the wave pool barely had waves. The cabana is not worth the money, it was dirty and the table is just a little plastic table big enough for a 2 year old. There were wasp all around and inside the cabana. It was not an enjoyable experience, I was very aggravated. I will not be visiting this water park again.

Don't waste your time or money! Most of the water slides were not open. Lazy river was closed all day also. Kids play area was overrun with teenagers and no one there to tell them they were too big although there was a sign posting how big you could be to be in there. The wave pool was not clean and the heated pool was about a foot and a half low on water and filled with leaves and rocks on the bottom. The stairs and walkways need repair and painted desperately! To get a drink or something to eat was an hour to an 1 1/2 hour wait. My daughter also almost had her foot go through a board on one of the steps going up to one of the only open slides due to rotting boards. Would also not recommend staying after 4 since it is $50 a carload to get in. The crowd got a little rough and not good for small children(rough language and behavior). Employees were very disinterested and unfriendly. Very disappointed to spend money on such a poor product! Would not recommend!

Only 4 rides open due to staffing issues. Zip line, lazy river, and most restaurants closed. Long line due to 1 ticket booth being open. Only warning was a sign on ticket window that said rides are rotating. When asking what was open, gate attendant said he didn't know. Very dishonest park. Spend money elsewhere. When asking for a refund, I was told to stand in line again because there was no-one else available to help. Wasted time traveling in and wasted use of one of the last weekends of summer. Park has potential, but I won't be back until it's made public that management has changed. There should have been specific warnings online and at the park about the lack of open slides.

We go every year and have a blast! I think they do need a few more rides though this year everyone’s favorite ride was down all season. They need to update a little but overall we enjoy it there.

So, I have many fond memories of going here as a child (MANY moons ago...) And we recently went back for an event with my family. The park is definitely showing its age in many places (fading paint, poorly "sanded" beaches, very old faded inner-tubes, etc.) However, the rides were still high quality, the body slides didn't scrape my back at all, they were very smooth, and still quite fun. Sadly the "lazy river" had quite a bit more floating debris in it that I would have liked, but was still a nice gentle ride. Another disappointment was the tube-rapids ride was closed all day "because they didn't have enough lifeguards to staff it" wow, really, there was no discount to get in for them being understaffed, nor was there any notification that it would be closed... The wave pool was still nice, and every 10 minutes it simulated an ocean-like experience (minus the salt).
The snack-bars were equally understaffed, and the ice-cream stand was not open, but the grill was and the slushie place in the back was open. The grill actually had pretty good burgers, and they actually a fairly reasonable price, which was a pleasant surprise, as most theme park foods are much worse priced. Sadly the slushies were not as good, much lower quality and not really worth the price. They advertised an alcoholic "hard seltzer" as well, but at over six bucks a can, we didn't partake.
They also had a little arcade, but it was only filled with ticket-games to win typical prizes from an 80's-90's style prize counter, good for little kids, but not for teens/etc.
Overall, if someone put just a little money into this place, it could be a GREAT waterpark. (get some fresh sand, skim the pools/lazy river more often, and hire a few new lifeguards, oh, and paint the decks a LIGHTER color... the dark paint gets REALLY hot) As it is, it's still nice, and has good rides, but it just gives you a bit of a run-down feel to it.

We came here for the abundance of slides and things to do. 5 different slides weren’t running. It left only a small selection for the kids. They were bored very quickly. Some of the staff were not very helpful. When asked where to go, they just pointed without speaking or smiling. It’s 10$ to park . We waited for the zip line for 30 mins past when they said it was supposed to open. The worker said she’d text her manager to find out if they are going to open it today :/. It cost 100$ for 3 kids and one adult. We would have been better off to go to kings island instead.

Their website lists varying prices based on age/height/military/etc. Also slightly cheaper online than at the gate.
It also has a calendar, looks like for 2019, the last day is September 2nd

Can u bring in a cooler? Do they check bags like (Columbus)? What's some tips from "veteran goers"? Where's this "sand" they claim? How much less is it than KI? Sounds like hey have low water pressure that's fine I like to keep my face attached to my body....

There is sand far from the pools edge.The price for my husband and I only was $46.00 and that was discounted. Small locker was $8.00 and done thru a kiosk. I would not suggest to bring a cooler unless you want to go to the picnic area. They have plenty of food and drink there. If you notice ths the place needs a decent coat of paint and some cleaning..Not going back this year..

Mike B once again same as Lisa why don't you contact them since you experienced it first hand instead of waiting for someone else to do it? You could prevent someone else from experiencing that whom has never been there so that you might help prevent their first time there to be a better experience.

Ok so I will need some people to hopefully answer in depth. I love love love waterparks and beaches BUT they don't love me back. I have a condition in both ears and nose that keeps me in a panic since 2015. I had surgery but it's not over. So I can't get water in my ears or a lot in nose. I go to the water park at KI and Columbus zoo. I've found that the one slide that uses singular tubes at KI i can do because u don't get submerged at the bottom. At Columbus there is an adult lazy river that is the same way. I need to know if THE BEACH has more than one slide like the one I have used at KI. I'm not in an ideal situation right now :( please help in detail! XOXO
