This is a one-room schoolhouse. It even has a dunce chair for those naughty children. I believe it was built in 1837. It's not original to the property but was moved here.

I was thrilled to sit in an 18th century one-room schoolhouse, experience what it must have been like and learn about what children went through there. I was so excited, I ended up making a replica as a "Little Free Library" which is installed on the grounds near the "Little Red Schoolhouse."

Just imagine yourself being educated in this one-room school house......very interesting. How far we have come in education. I always like to put myself back in time when I visit historic places and in this school house the teacher had to have had lots of patience!!!!!
