This place is large, but it’s very expensive. The majority of employees are not friendly and roam the aisles checking locks on cabinets while you’re trying to shop like you’re a criminal who is about to steal. I can find many of the same items here online or at other antique stores for much lower prices.

What a great place to browse and feel nostalgic! Well organized and clean. Vendors really keep their stalls neat, easy to hunt for treasures. Runners take your selections to the front so you don’t have to lug them around. Give yourself plenty of time to walk around, it’s a huge place.

We had pretty much backed away from antiquing a decade or so ago as we retired and set out to declutter and downsize, but this has long been one of our favorite antique malls. It's always been well maintained and staffed by friendly, if not always the most knowledgeable, employees. So since we were in the area for the first time in a while, we decided to stop and have a look around.
It didn't take long for us to realize the prices we were seeing were high, bordering on exorbitant, compared to what we remembered. Not just on a few things or certain collectables, but across the board. Our observations were confirmed as we talked to a few other couples who were veteran antiquers, but who pointed out this was true across the industry, not just at HoO. Seems odd considering the younger people today supposed have little interest in antique and collecting.
If you like looking at a lot antiques in one place, you'll not do much better than Heart of Ohio. Again, a nice place with nice employees. There might even be some bargain to be had, but we didn't find them. We spent a sum total of only $6.00 on a book for our granddaughter.

This is the biggest antique mall I have been to. I visited one in Huston, which was billed as the biggest in Texas, but I think this was bigger. So much cool stuff, some of the prices are a little high, but there are some good deals too. I almost bought an olive oil press and a gold scale, but didn't want to transport them all the way to California, so I left them behind. I did get s hanging meat hook w/ 12 hooks on it that will become a hanging hat rack. This place will spoil you though. The next antique store that I went to was more like a thrift store in comparison. We plan to return for our 25 year wedding anniversary with an empty truck to load up.

lots of great item for everyone but like what has been stated, it's pricey. of course there's that 10% discount if you ask for it, and also if you so desire make an offer of what you think is a fair price to the vendor. but this is where it gets sticky: some management will do it, while some will pretend to have done it, but don't actually do it. just be aware of that/

This is a large antique mall with a lot of dealers. Staff was not too helpful, and one of them gave directions where to find what we were looking for, but she was somewhat vague.

Wow ... just wow this place is huge ! If your looking for something to do for a half a day this is it . There's everything under the sun in here . We found a few treasures in here to take home with us back to michigan . Staff was super friendly and place was clean.

Heart of Ohio advertises itself as pet friendly. They will let your pet in, but the pet's feet are not allowed to touch the floor. If you pet won't fit or won't stay in one of their little wagons it is not welcome. And they do have people walking all over watching you.

We go about every 3-4 months. We have seen may antique malls over several years and in many parts of the country.
This place has a lot of very nice items. Is well managed and very clean.
We have purchased some very large, heavy items, the staff was very helpful in loading them for us. (It doesn't hurt to tip)
Like everywhere, let the buyer beware. Sure there are fakes, re-pros and "new" items, but its on you to be a savvy shopper.
The staff is very helpful, and will put an offer to a seller at any price you offer.
If an item it "too expensive" don't buy it. Don't blame the mall, blame the particular seller.

Unfortunately, some of the staff (including the senior management) treat paying customers like criminals. Extremely uncomfortable environment. "Big Brother is Watching" atmosphere from the moment you enter the doors. When I contacted a manager about a problem employee, I was treated very badly. Great way to do business! Look elsewhere for better -- and less expensive -- collectibles and antiques. This place will give you nightmares.
