This is another must stop while in town. There are 12 of these statues and we have seen 3 of them. A neat story really.

So we were in the area and thought we would check this out - with some road work in the area we probably spent 10 minutes driving in circles to get to it - some of it our fault - and when you finally get to it it looks exactly like the pics in the listing.

We had seen the Richmond, Indiana Madonna and were curious. If you're looking to visit all 12 along US40 in 12 states, this one is near downtown in an open area with on-street parking.

My husband and I were visiting Ohio and this was one of our photo ops stops. The statue is beautiful and in a nicely landscaped downtown area. It is well maintained. If you enjoy seeing beautiful statues and landmarks, this is well worth the stop. There is street meter parking available.

Another of our morning stops in Springfield. Well-kept and peaceful area in the downtown area. Nice place to stop and take a break.

I have to say this was my favorite Madonna so far. It is at a park with a physical address, so easier to locate than the others (still I drove past it once because it is a different color than the other two I have seen). There were easy places to park very near this site unlike the others, so I was able to spend a little more time with this Madonna.

We found this Madonna of the Trail easily in a nice little green area. Well maintained grounds, she looked in great shape, and I loved the map with all of the Madonna locations on it.
