This was my 3rd time at the Ohio StarTheater. My travel companions and I attended the musical play “ Dear Soldier Boy”. We all enjoyed the play very much. The seating is comfortable with plenty of leg room. The view of the stage, even on the far right was good. We plan to attend again in November for another play and stay in the Carlisle Inn, which is within walking distance from the theater.

Show was awesome !! Combination of musical, amusing, poignent story line, and comedy. Cast was very good and harmonization was awesome.

We hadn't planned to see a show but booked on recommendation of a merchant. Artrageous was the name of the show we saw. Interesting mix of singers and talented artists that painted canvases on stage.

The show (Josiah for President) was really entertaining. The cast was sensational- and the show toggles between humor and heart with skill. A must-see if you are anywhere close.
AFTER the show, eat at the neighboring restaurant. Food is tasty, portions are massive. Wash it down with a delicious offering from the bakery!
Hospitality everywhere was very pleasant and engaging.

Would have rated a 5 but the show had to input their political shots that just took away our super evening a notch. @nd half performance of Josiah for President started with a litany of movements and had to show the Obama…. Seen this in. Previews would never attend. Others wise great performance by cast and crew. Advice> Upgrade your 2nd half opening of this performance for a Awesome Ratings,

We went to see The Christmas Tree Ship which is based on a true story. Very good production. Humor mixed in with the story. We always sit on the main floor and never have a problem seeing. As a bonus, we discovered they have headphones for the hearing impaired. This was a great benefit to my husband. All of their shows are family friendly and very decent. We love going here.

Show was entertaining but sound mixing was terrible (lead vocal was muffled at times, keyboardist audio was too low with mic feedback, and a/v was hard to see projected onto small onstage screen). Beautiful theater but investment needed for professional techs to operate.

We have seen every show ever done at this theater and each was well worth the money. But this show is in our top two. Just the story of the life of an Amish couple, explaining all your questions about the Amish. Don't miss this show!!

This is a beautiful facility. Staff and volunteers are very friendly. The show was great!
Masks and social distances were in effect.
Restrooms were clean.
Shops and restaurant on property are lovely and convenient.

Do you have to buy tickets online before you go, or can you just arrive a little before 1pm for "Stolen"...buy your tickets and see the show ? We are coming to the area, and not sure how this works... also I noticed you can purchase a MEAL along with the tickets.. but that is all it says.. how to get more info on the meal, where it is, what it is.. etc...thank you...

There is a ticket both at the Ohio Star theater so if they aren't sold out you could buy them there. The Dutch Valley site has a hotel, gift shop, grocery store, bakery and restaurant in addition to the theater.

It depends on what show you're seeing. If you have tickets to the 1pm concert, you'll eat at 4pm. If you're seeing the 9pm concert, your meal is at 7pm.
I would like to know if there are any available seats for Half-Stiched musical for Tues. matinee. I have 4 seniors!

Hi Brenda, I hope this answer reaches you in time. The Box Office reports that they only have single seats available for today's show and also for tomorrow (Wednesday's) matinee.
