I've lived in this area most of my life and close by the past 25 years and never took the time to visit. Yesterday my daughter and I took our cameras and walked the red trail...about 2 miles...and saw several unusual birds and a ton of butterflies and dragon flies. While there you think you're in another world as it's beautiful with open meadows full of wildflowers and woods full of birds. We'll for sure make this a frequent place to go with our cameras. AND it's FREE! No charge and adequate parking.

We just returned from The Ohio Prairie Assocn Annual Conference in Toledo and our two guided hikes through Kitty Todd Nature Preserve. Native prairie plants abound and what a sight to behold! After hearing how the preserve is maintained I have an even deeper appreciation for this Nature Conservancy land.
