Mallory met us at Packos at the Park and immediately told us something we lifelong area residents didn't know: the original Tony Packos was an ice cream shop! We also learned why their hotdog is a sausage cut in half. The sampling there was typical Packos..YUM! We were introduced to their sweet hot caramel corn. As we walked to the next venue we learned that Huron St Village was the proposed location of the University of Michigan! Signature garbage salad at Grumpy s was fabulous as was the cheese danish from All Crumbs bakery at the Erie St Market . The Libbey history at the outlet taught us more about our city. We had our first cold brew coffee experience at Maddie & Bella.
Home Slice Pizza has great outdoor seating( along with New York style pizza). Black Cloister is a unique brew pub with a personality all it's own and very tasty brews. The shepherd's pie at the Blarney was as unique as the authentic Irish setting. Don't miss this tour!

The guide was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was good. Love the Shepard's pie and the danish.

Never been to Toledo before but now I want to go back! Lindsey was a great guide! Thanks for being so personable and knowledge! The cheese danish was out of this world yummy! Would definitely recommend!

The facilities: There are 7 stops on this tour, each one stellar. Downtown Toledo is beautiful. The best part is that there was so much history and art on the tour itself. It also circles the mudhens stadium, so a sports enthusiast is right at home. My only complaint is that we need to be able to sit more often for the older crowd as my Mom had trouble.
Stop one: Packo's at the Park; the venue is decorated to make you feel like you are hanging at the ball park. The taste is a touch of hungarian flavour.
Stop two: Grumpy's; a small deli serving breakfast and lunch only. We sampled a fresh salad with fantastic dressing.
Stop three: Toledo's Farmer's Market for All Crumbs Artisnal Bakery; The market is fascinating and the pastry was a fantastic bite. One of my favorites.
Stop four: Maddie and Bella's Coffee Roasters; Did you know good coffee is like fine wine? They sure did at this place.
Stop five:Fleetwoods taproom; try Jamie's wit, it is great beer and the Greek flair on the menu is pretty yummy too. Plus you can't beat the view.
Stop six: Black Cloister Brewing Company;
Church like you're not likely to taste anywhere else. Helle's Angel is top notch.
Stop seven: the Blarney; shepard's pie with real lamb. Who can resist a place with Guiness on tap? Not this Irish woman.
The stuff I skipped is almost as good as the food. This is so much more than a food tour. You have to take it to believe it.
The staff: Our guide was Lindsey. She was awesome. She hit just the right note of interest in her group and excitement of the surrounding. I was super impressed by how knowledgeable she was. Her interest and love of her subject shone through every word.
The jist: Go, just go.

We took the first warehouse food tour of the season and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! The venues are top notch, the food excellent, the brews delicious and the walking commentary was so informative!! Mallory is an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and so personable. The food comes in tastes and we were full by the end. The walking is manageable (Toledo is very flat) and at a good pace. The passion of each shop/ restaurant owner was very evident and made each stop so interesting. We'll do this again, with family and friends visiting and with family and friends who live in the Toledo area.

Met up with our guides and immediately were made to feel welcomed!
Enjoyed some great food and learned some area history.
The Danish at All Crumbs were spectacular ... I've never had better.
What a great way to tour the warehouse district.
Highly recommend !

My daughter and I went on the Toledo Flavors Food Tour and we had a great time! Not only did we enjoy some great food, we also learned a lot about the food we were tasting and the city of Toledo. I would recommend this tour to Toledoans and travelers alike!

Our group of four friends enjoyed a fabulous afternoon today. This tour included delicious food and plenty of it, as well as a sampling of some unique coffee and wine. We were introduced to some very unique shops in the warehouse district and learned a great deal of history about this area. We also learned of some of the future plans of the Downtown area. Whether you are a local or a visitor to Toledo, you will find this tour to be educational as well as a great deal of fun! Come hungry!

Toledo Flavors is sadly no longer offering food tours. There a lots of other great things happening downtown! Keep looking. :)

Our tours operates Thursdays and Saturdays from 11am-2pm.
The cost is $42/person. We are currently running a "Bring Friends and Save" promotion: Buy 4 for the price of 3.
