Neat Bridge. Pretty solid considering it’s hundreds of years old. Out in the middle of nowhere down in country Road, next to a farm. Quintessential Midwest Field of Dreams experience feel.

From our check in to our departure in quality inn hotel we passed many times through this bridge. Bridge is neat and clean.

The bridge was refurbished and reopened not too long ago and my Nene and I went with my sister to go look for rocks for a school art project from the river. When we were tired we went back up to look at the New Bridge.
The Graffiti has been painted over, and we are sure a few boards have been replaced as well. Its a beautiful bridge, in all honesty. Off to the side, there's a ledge with some large rocks- if you hop the guard rail or walk around it,(Be careful) on the closest one there's a marker that tells you how far above sea level you are. The bricks on the drive in are engraved with people's names that paid to get them, although I don't quite remember what the story was that goes with them. Many are old, one of the named banks doesn't even exist anymore. If your kids will sit for a history lesson, take them. It's beautiful there in the summer, if you can survive the mosquitoes! Pack bugspray or they'll drag you off lol. If you're going down to the river, pack some waterproofed boots and watch your step. It's usually just a quick stop, read some bricks/the plaques or hang out and look at the scenery.

It is beautiful. if people would realize and appreciate the history. Vandalism of a historic landmark like this should be a FELONY!

Have been to Swartz covered bridge near Indian Mill to the south of Upper Sandusky many times but this is the first time I had ventured out to the Parker bridge NE of Upper off hwy 67. There are brown scenic attraction signs in both directions on 67 so it is easy to find. It is about a mile north on a township road which is paved but very rough. You want to slow down anyway or you will miss a small hand lettered sign on the left (west) side of the road that simply says "covered bridge" down the hill to the immediate right. There is a pretty good bump on both ends of the bridge as you drive up on to the deck.

Excellent part of history. Bridge was refurbished some years back after vandals set it on fire. Nicely restored.

We knew locating the Parker Covered Bridge was going to be challenging. Our gps did not recognize the TR 40, Crane rd address. We stopped in at the library in town, and they so graciously gave us directions.
1. North on OH-53N/oh-67 (the road the library is on) 2.2 mi Turn right on OH-67 E 2.7 mi Left on T-37 1.1 mi Right on Everhart .2 mi.
I hope this is helpful for those of you wanting to find this bridge.

Beautiful authentic covered bridge. It's worth the drive to Wyandot County to see this bit of history. Lovely backdrop for photos.

Parker Covered Bridge is only about 3 mile from my home. Like to just drive through it once in a while. There is also another one near by. Swartz Covered Bridge is off in another direction and about 6 mile from me. More memories of the Swartz Bridge as i know a family member of which it was named after.
