We hiked some of the trails in Bacon woods. The floor is carpeted with yellow buttercups and is just beautiful. The only problem we had was some of the trail was full of water. Also the trails are marked with colors, but there are no mile marker numbers on anything so you don't know how far you have gone or how far you have to go.

We visited both sides of this extensive park. I'm glad we did since there's simmering worth seeing on both sides.
The reconstruction of the giant eagle's nest on the Mill Hollow side was amazing and the walking trails were very nice.
The shale cliffs in the Bacon side were great! We were able to wade in the Vermillion River and, since the park is dog friendly, so were our dogs.
This double park is definitely worth visiting if you're in the area!

Very nice park with multiple options. Fishing in the river, walking trails, picnic areas and a nice sledding hill.

Good trout fishing Oct thru early May. Smallmouth bass year round. Nice easy riverside trail heads north from parking lot.

Perfect backdrop for a small wedding party tonight. The pictures turned out just amazing. Everyone strolled around the park together and individually. Many young deer very comfortable sharing the space.

One of the better parks in the area! Mill Hollow offers great views including a river surrounded by scenic steep cliffs creating a beautiful environment to get out and go for a short stroll or longer walk depending on your taste. Well maintained park which is dog friendly and offers a variety of trails from easy to moderate level depending on your taste. At various times of the year the Brownhelm Historical Society hosts several family friendly events which are all well rehearsed with plenty of friendly reenactors. Truly a great place to go for a variety of outtings.

First visit. The trails are nice. A lot of trails to walk. Stone and dirt, but are still easy to walk. Restrooms were nice and well kept up. My only complaint was it would have been nice to have a few benchs on the trails.

We love it when Mill Hollow has Black River Archery come in and offer Archery in the park. The Setting is perfect as the park offers the perfect fall back drop. The ppl from Black River Archery are wonderful too. We have registered for the fall program for the last 3 years and hope this park active continues.

covered pavilions need to be rented ahead of time . 50-75 people capacity . Grills are to small for the the capacity of pavilions. Difficult to get your party supplies to the buildings . Can not drive close to unload.

Short easy trail which is "just what the doctor ordered"! This trail is well maintained with both gravel and dirt surfaces. Perfect for a leisure stroll or for someone working their way back from some type of an injury. A lot of canopy which provides a good amount of shade from the direct sunlight. Surprisingly didn't see any critters as the area gave off an aura that there would be an abundance of wildlife. Overall it was an easy trail that is suitable for anyone not looking for anything challenging. Would definitely warrant a higher rating if the trail was longer.
