Huge selection

We stopped in looking for one item, thinking that we might find it here. What a surprise! Though it says it is a cheese shop it has nearly a full service grocery store, deli counter, ice cream stand, hot foods, gift shop, bulk foods, bakery, puzzles and other gifts, teas, jams/jellies etc. We could have saved multiple other stops and gotten just about everything we wanted here if we had known how extensive the selection was. The only drawback was that it was very crowded and difficult to navigate. Staff seemed to be handling it pretty well despite this volume.

Large shopping area

This was on my top places to stop. The building was larger than I thought. It was a grocery store with a deli, small area of baked goods, restaurant upstairs, Walnut Creek canned goods section, home decor, and a kitchen gadget section. We spent 45 minutes inside shopping. The cheese selection wasn't as large I anticipated but I did wish I bought more jellies, salsa, and other unusual jar items I can't get at home. Another trip is a must!

Walnut Creek Cheese is a great company that treats their customers well. I purchased 3 packages of Spicy Hot Beef Sticks from their online store. One unopened package went bad within a couple months and when I let them know about it, they sent a replacement package right away. With the way people and companies behave now a days, it’s very nice to deal with a company that respects its customers and treats them well.

Great Prices

When in Amish Country we stop here to buy their World’s Best Dishcloths (12, I also give as gifts) and their delicious cheeses. Their prices on these dish cloths and cheeses are much cheaper than other local attractions nearby. Their Glutton free flour is reasonably priced. My husband always stops at the ice cream area and enjoys a Hot Fudge Sunday while I shop. They also have a huge assortment of jams and jellies. This is a must stop for budget friendly buys!

Black raspberry pie, just jelly!

We have shopped at Walnut Creek Cheese for many years when in the area.
Sometimes the pies have been disappointing, but this time - wow! The black raspberry pie was all jelly! No fruit at all.
Also when I have pre-ordered a certain type of pie, it is never ready when I specify, and I have to end up waiting for them to make it. Usually I order the coconut cream so that I can pick it up on my way home, but it's never ready. Don't understand this. I don't know if the customer service office never gives the bakery the order or what. Definitely won't buy any more pies. Don't want to be paying for jelly when a pie is supposed to be a black raspberry fruit pie!

Great selections

The cafe on upper level has a great selection of food. Icecream, dry goods, fresh meat and cheese are plentiful on lower level.

Much busier on Friday and Saturday. Even during off season of tourists.

Stop #5 of day trip to Amish Ohio

Slighty disappointed, thought it was one of the Cheese Factories near there. Great if you are picking up items to go to like a Winery or Brewery that does not sell much food.

"They have more than cheese....alot more"

While driving thru Amish country, we decided to stop & walk a bit. This place is huge. If you leave here hungry, it's your own fault. The staff was friendly and the place was very clean. Got a bog of peanut butter blossom cookies for the drive home. Plenty of parking too.

Cheeses, meats, and a whole lot more

While the assortment of cheeses and meats is good, we probably spent more time looking at the amazing array of kitchen gadgets, jams, and jellies. Couldn't resist a bowl of lemon soft serve ice cream. A double scoop filled the bowl! I couldn't have eaten it fast enough from a cone.

I go bananas for banana cream pie

I bought a banana cream pie but hello...Where are the bananas??? I specifically requested to make sure there are more than a few slices of banana. The pudding taste like something out of a Can!!! I will not be back. Amish gimmick to sell their products.
