Amazing place!

Me and my grandma went to this place and it was wonderful! The decor was beautiful and truly from its time,the place was covered with history which I adored because that is my favorite and best subject.It is nice to know that there is a beautiful place in this town with amazing pieces of history lying inside it.

Interesting history in an important town in Ohio!

I have passed this building many times over the years. I am glad I had time to visit this historic home today.This building is staffed by a dedicated group of volunteers. This house built in 1875 was once a gem of the Italianate style. By visiting this museum, one gets an good knowledge of the county history. The guides told a compelling story of the area history. The house needs some work but the house is well worth preservation and the time for a visit.

Neatest Historical Part of town.

Makes you realize what this town is truly about. Great collection of artifacts and the staff are true story tellers who gain your interest in the facts. Great to take the kids.

An overlooked treasurer of Fayette County

My granddaughter and I visited the museum on a Sunday afternoon and we were treated to a wonderful guided tour of the museum. It was informative and interesting. The home just in itself is something to experience and the historical items that the museum holds is very interesting. You won't be bored and I hope that you enjoy your visit as much as we did. We plan a return trip as there is much to see. Next time the museum is open stop in.

A step Back into Area History

Located in one of the older homes in the county. There is a nice assortment of pictures, photos, furniture and household items from the old days in Fayette County. Only open 1 to 4 on Sat & Sun. May thru June. There is no admission but will gladly accept donations if you would like. There are also some examples of old farming items in the garage/barns next to the house.
