Perfect lazy and exciting outing

If sitting around at home is Not your gig, then get out and canoe or kayak at this quaint venue. Easy to get to, from Rt 48 off I-70 north of Dayton. We had a great time, meandering down the river, brought a nutritious snack and took our time taking in the wonderful sights and sounds, naturally. The staff was accommodating, and friendly. Cash only, not expensive and well worth the experience, getting much-needed sunshine and taking it easy. Highly recommended

Family fun

Easy paddling and fun canoe or kayak trip. Staff is friendly and helpful. River is calm and kids and dogs can get out at several small island spots.

Church Adventure

2017年9月

Meeting with youth from our local church, we took to the Stillwater River on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Barefoot Canoes set everyone up with instructions and equipment. Other groups were also on the river that afternoon making for a lot of laughter and fun. The company makes sure everyone feels safe and ready to enjoy the experience. At trio's, able bodied employees help pull the canoes out, gather paddles, and life jackets for a bus trip back to the starting point, very convenient.

A Great Summer Outing!

My husband and I went on our honeymoon and loved the scenery as we went down the river. The employees were friendly and it was easy to find. We are waiting impatiently to be able to take our daughter with us on the next trip. One important thing... Don't bring a phone unless you are willing to get it wet!

Slow trip on a lazy river.

The river accessed here is called the Stillwater. That is what it is. You need to float this river in the spring to have enough water to move you down the river. The Barefoot Canoe folks are helpful and friendly.

Great experience!

My wife and I did the short trip out of West Milton earlier today and it was really fun! We rented a canoe for the both of us and got set off on the river right away. The trip was moderate difficulty overall with some challenging areas where the current picked up. We even got to stop on one of the many islands as you float downstream! At the end of the 5 miles, we easily landed at the take out point and soon after we were in a van heading back to where we left off! The staff was very friendly and they even gave us a freeze pop so that was nice haha. Overall great experience and definitely a must do in the area!
