Treasure on the river

We usually meet friends here for lunch and to play cards. At the time of our visits, we are not holding up a table though there are several customers there. Our food, service and atmosphere are all great and we have no complaints. An added attraction is the beauty of the river outside off the deck. We usually get burgers and fries and the fries are extremely delicious and the burger quite tasty. Of course we enjoy as couple draft beers as well. The servers don't rush us and they know we're there for the long haul. Overall, a very comfortable experience.

Don't come here for the food

Service needs a lot of improvement as well as the food. Chili came out cold, went back, came back cold. Burger patty was warm, but bun was ice cold. Took an hour to get an order taken. Almost another to get the food. Overall this evening sucked her. On a positive note, great location and the alcohol was great.

Good Burger

Ordered a double bacon cheeseburger and fries to go. I didn't specify my preference for a medium burger, so shouldn't have been surprised it arrived well done. But still tasty. They forgot the lettuce, tomato and onion and I didn't check it before leaving. But all in all, everything was okay, including a pile of good fries.

Great River View

I was with a group of Kayakers paddling from Mt Vernon to Marietta to raise money for wounded warrior organizations. The owner heard about our journey and bought us all lunch. Terry's does a lot to help local veterans groups. I always stop here when I am passing through town. The food is great, the view of the river is great and the staff is very friendly.

Looking for a low budget lunch..... this is the place. Very reasonable prices good burger! Food was at temperature and very good. Waitress was pleasani

Heavenly Burgers!

Casual dining at Terry's Tavern is the deal of the century. A REAL BEEF burger, lettuce, large tomato slice, and large fries: $4.50. Spectacular outdoor views from multiple patios of the beautiful Muskingum River, Y-Bridge, and newly painted downtown courthouse roof. Friendly service, boat dock, music, and two bean bag courts. A nice place to bring friends and family. No reservations required.

Neat place if your local

Waitress looked at me and walked right by. Others walked in and were greeted by first name basis. I was not local so I got no service. I had to walk out.

Bad thing is, this place was recommended by a antique shop on Main Street.

The drinks and food are great! The bartenders are amazing and the atmosphere is lots of fun! This place has a wide variety of clientele and a local favorite.

People like to go to this place in the summer to sit outside and overlook the filthy Muskingum River. The drinks are cheap and burgers are good. Also enjoy the cheese and meat plate. Otherwise, not very organized and filled with locals which, is not usually close to being overwhelming.

In spite of rabid Ohio State fans, our first visit was thumbs up

We go to Zanesville often, shopping, movies, opera in HD at Colony Square Cinema, Whit's frozen custard, Kroger for groceries I can't find in my local markets - you get the picture. Heard Terry's burgers were good. Well, yes they are. Big, juicy and lots of fresh toppings. Fries are yummy. Magic Hat #9 on tap sealed the deal. We'll be back.
