Have lived in Bartlesville for over 25 years and this was my first visit to the museum. It is on the 5th floor of the City Building. Admission is free. Good variety of things on display. It is a self guided tour.

Discovered the Bartlesville Area History Museum while looking for the Phillips museum, It is a hidden treasure located in the Bartleville City building's fifth floor. There is no admission fee and a wealth of inofrmation on the area. If you like history at all you will not be disappointed. We were there an hour and could have easily spent another 30-40 minutes to read all the information that was available,

This top floor treasure may have an unusual location for a museum but it is filled with interesting and informative exhibits. Extremely well presented exhibits include permanent and new items. Nice Gift Shop. Take the elevator to the 5th Floor and enjoy!

This is a free admission small museum on the fifth floor of the Bartlesville City Building. We visited for about 45 minutes last July.
It contains artifacts and tableaus in chronological order of the history of this Phillips 66 oil town. There is also a short video that illustrates the oil industry, and its effects on the area.
The museum is worth a visit if you are in the area.

I was pleasantly surprised my the presentation of the history of Bartlesville and Washington County at this museum. Located in the 5th Floor of City Hall, the museum is well done. They do special exhibitions of local history too. Sometimes they present movies that have a connection to the area.
If you are looking for something specific about the area whether historic photos, historic businesses or homes, people, tribal history, geographic locations, and more, this museum has extensive collections.
It’s worth a peak!

I am a native of Bartlesville and I have visited our local museum a couple of times. It is always interesting for a local

This is an excellent little museum filled with so much of Bartlesville’s rich and interesting history. Driving through town, it’s obvious that there’s much more to the town than meets the eye, and the museum opens the door to that history. Its interactive exhibits are appropriate for all age groups, and the staff is really nice, knowledgeable, and helpful.

The Bartlesville Area History Museum is a hidden secret in town! Take a trip to the 5th floor where you can experience what it was like in a one room school house. They have school marms who dress the part and even go through a day at school. Kids, and adults, can experience chalkboard arrhythmic, penmanship and reading. They have great displays that show the connection of Bartlesville to the Caney River and to the Osage tribe. Learn what makes this town so great!!

This is a well-done museum with animatronics and lots of interesting exhibits. It gives the history of the area with the Indian influence and the beginnings of the oil industry. It is on the top floor of the city building. It houses many collections of Bartlesville history. There are also special exhibits and programs available.
