Great little petting zoo and animal experience! Always a winner with the kids! There are lots of friendly animals that you can feed or pet.

I really hope they do what they say they do. I understand animals smell but I couldn't breathe in through my nose the whole time I was here because of the odors. Again, I have chickens, I have lived with having pigs, goats and more but these odors were something else. There was also a very sick young deer that was just sitting there drooling with its tongue hanging out it's mouth. I feel like that one should have been getting vet care or something other than being on display.

This place was absolutely deplorable and depressing. The animals did not have fresh water, if they had water at all. The place smelled of feces and urine, not usual animal smells. The animals were dirty, lifeless, and just sweltering in the heat. Goats were the only pettable animals. Other animals were in cages too small for them. I left crying and feeling guilty because I paid into their suffering. I did not see this as a "rescue center." It was a death camp. This place needs to be closed down or taken over by the authorities. So, so sad.

Our kids really enjoyed this experience. You had to pay extra for the animal feed and bananas, but it made it way more interactive. Some of the exhibits stunk, but maybe it’s because we came right after they opened. I liked how they released most of the animals out in the wild when they were rehabilitated.

Staff are excellent (especially Melissa!). The animals are rescues, orphans or injured rehabs. Very clear that the staff care deeply about these animals. My teenage son and friends from Germany had so much fun! River otter (“slinky”), possum (“Awesome”) and raccoons were my highlights!

We waited in line for 15 minutes, but the line wasn't moving. The parking is HORRIBLE. The BBQ food truck by the Beavers Bend Mining Co is yummy. Heather. Eat there and skip the petting zoo.

This place is not necessarily kid friendly. Some will love it, some will not. There are a lot of staff, but they all seemed busy and distracted so there was little supervision of the petting of the animals roaming about in the areas you walk through. We had been here previously, but this time only managed to stay 10 minutes. The animals are so accustomed to being hand-fed that they will approach you whether you want them to or not. This wasn't so bad when it was deer and goats, but then a pair of turkeys started chasing our kids. That may sound cute or funny, but it is not to a 3-year old even if being held in their parents arms. The turkeys were on a wooden bridge and you to continue the tour you have to pass the turkeys (inches away) to get past them. The male turkey was walking on the handrail so he was at face level to the adults. He wasn't aggressive, just persistently following us back and forth. The female at ground level was minor aggressive pecking at our clothes. We left the area as quickly as possible but after that our kids were crying and screaming and no longer interested in seeing anything else.

This place is amazing!!!.. the staff is great & very knowledgeable about all the animals that are brought in.. the animals are very well taken care of..they even have a very friendly Kangaroo. We loved every minute there.. this is an amazing place that rescues so many animals.. would recommend this to anyone who loves animals ..
