If you are a Route 66 buff or even just a traveler, you have to stop and meet Jerry. He is the author of the EZ Guide (which is considered the bible of Route 66) and is a most gracious host. His art is amazing! You do not want to miss this stop

This stop was one of our highlights as we drove route 66. We were using the spiral bound "EZ Guide to Route 66" as our prime resource for guiding us along route 66. As we approached Chandler we called Jerry, who is the author and illustrator of the book. His number is in the guide book. He said he would be available when we arrived. Take the tricky hard right westbound and his place is about three houses down on the right. We parked and he let us in. We had a great chat with about the route, what we saw and did and things to do as we headed west. He also marked a couple of current detours in our book in addition to signing it. We looked at his artwork which is extensive and well done. He is a very accomplished and prolific artist. He even signed the print we bought, which now hangs framed in our family room. We took a couple of selfies and he took one of us for his visitors wall. Overall, it was a time well spent and I would recommend everyone stop when you are in Chandler. Also, his guide book and maps are a must if you intend to do 66, especially if you are doing the Westbound route.

Esta galeria é muito interessante, uma vez que o dono e pintor é o autor do guia EZ 66. O Jerry é super simpático, sabe imenso sobre o percurso da Route 66, e tem quadros muito bons. É impossível uma pessoa não comprar nada, porque é tudo muito giro.

Es una de las paradas obligatorias para todos aquellos a los que la Guia EZ66 nos ha servido en nuestro camino por la Ruta 66. Jerry McClanahan es su autor y si tienes la suerte de que esté en su casa-galería te recibirá con los brazos abiertos y además de poder comprar alguno de sus dibujos y recuerdos, te deleitará con su conversación acerca de la carretera madre. Cuando llegamos parecía que no había nadie pero después de merodear por la casa, salió a recibirnos junto a su mujer y nos enseñó la galería, nos firmó el libro, nos hizo uno de sus dibujos y modificó tres o cuatro cosas de su libro. Detalles como salidas que no estaban operativas y sugerencias que mejoraban el viaje. Además nos recomendó varios lugares donde parar y comer y se fotografió con nosotros. Muchas gracias Jerry por tu amabilidad.

I was doing Route 66 from Chicago to LA and depended more on this book (by far) than any other. Extremely clear and very helpful. All the maps are updated regularly as I have the 4th edition. Jerry McClanahan, the author, will put out a new edition when there are enough changes. There is a web site (mcjerry66.com) that includes regular updates. Jerry's Gallerie is open when Jerry is available. With his writing and painting, obviously, he isn't always there. He continues to travel a part of Route 66 every year. His web site gives his phone number and asks to call if you will be coming thru. Since it was early April, I did call and met him at his Gallerie and had a delightful visit with Jerry. I didn't bring my book along to be autographed but I did buy a print of a collage of 8 paintings (one from each state) superimposed on a Route 66 map. Great visit and Jerry gave me background on his work and his love for Route 66. He is a Route 66 Hero! Stop by when you get through Chandler. You will be glad you did!

We stopped by off-season, gave Jerry a call, and he opened the gallery in about five minutes. A Route 66 trip would not be complete without this stop. Prints and paintings are available for purchase.

Our 3rd trip driving Route 66, and our 1st time meeting Jerry McClanahan, author and artist EZ66 travel guide. On our way out of town after a pleasant night stay at the Lincoln Motel. Enjoyed a visit with Jerry, saw some of his beautiful paintings, then headed back on the road. Worth the stop.

My husband and myself are travelling Route 66, and wanted to see the museum, unfortunately we arrived too late and it was closed, so I recommend that if you want to go there, please arrive before 5pm, it does look really good though 😊

Jerry is the go to guy for information about Route 66. His book is a great reference and he is happy to talk forever about the mother road. Check out his drawings which have an old world charm.

We bought the EZ Guide to drive Route 66 WB. When we saw the chance to stop and meet the author, we jumped at it! Jerry is so personable and interesting. We also purchased one of his drawings of Boots Court where we had stayed and loved it! He signed both our guide and the drawing. Do stop in!
