We went hoping to see the Centennial Carrousel, but it was enclosed and you could see little through the glass. It's only open at various times (summer mostly). We were there in October. However, went across the street and walked a lovely sidewalk enjoying the sights including the lighthouse/bridge. Nice picnic tables and cover abound in this area. A great place to walk, look and let kids expend energy!

We were visiting the Route 66 museum and had planned on moving on down Route 66 when the lady at the museum recommended staying to see the light display. We are so glad we did! Elk City is one of our favorite Route 66 towns.

across the street rom The National US 66 Museum is this small well maintained city park with a great looking pond. a water mill is next to the pond and if you have the time, etc...stop and feed the ducks. great place for a family picnic.

Clean, nice little park for the kids to play for a while or go on a little walk. The amenities were closed due to the season, but looks like a fun place to hang out for an hour or two playing.

Grandson played on the playground toys, then we left the park for a while. We returned at 6pm - that's when the train, carousel & putt putt golf open. He did it all and loved every minute of it!

Esta junto al Museo de la Ruta 66. Como vimos el parque mientras visitábamos el museo decidimos hacer footing a la mañana siguiente por este lugar y vimos sus fantásticas instalaciones pues, además de tener senderos para andar y correr junto a los lagos tenia: campos de beisbol, voleibol, baloncesto, pistas de tenis, lugares de musculación. Tiene también un estanque con patos y un tren miniatura, mini golf y un viejo carrusel para los niños, además de una extensa zona verde para picnic con mesas. En definitiva un pequeño pulmón en la ciudad con todo lo que se puede pedir a una muy buena zona de ocio.

Every once in a while when I need to unwind,I take a trip to Ackley Park in Elk City Oklahoma U.S.A. This place with its wonderful trees the duck pond as well as the very well kept grounds creates a most relaxing environment for anyone who enters this park.During the Christmas season Ackley Park is changed into a most delightful wonderland of lights in fact this light display is by far the best I have seen in the state No matter what time of year you may venture into Ackley Park you will be most happy that you did. Spent two nights trying to get a good panning photo at the carousel. Finally got a couple the second night. Then our group had a great time at the putt putt golf.

was in town and bored, went by the park and enjoyed the mini golf they had. Would be nice for kids as they had a small train ride and carousel.

My family and I stopped here to let the kids stretch their legs on our way to Amarillo. It was a little chilly, but they had a great time. Very clean, lots of play equipment to keep them playing! Very cute, will definitely stop again if we are ever this way!

Can you park an RV on the hook up along the road that are there .an how much
I know this answer is a little too late but in case anybody else is interested the carousel, train, and miniature golf open Memorial Day weekend and closed Labor Day weekend I believe the hours are 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday I am not sure about Sunday. The pool also opens that same weekend but their hours are different for any other questions you can call the Elk City Hall and they can answer any questions pertaining to the park and prices an hour
