We drove to Miami from Yukon to see the theater. We were absolutely stunned with how beautiful it is. It is an amazing place. We thoroughly enjoyed hearing the history of the building and the work that has gone into restoring it.
Hopefully we can go back and see a performance there. There is a suggested donation and any donation would be for a worthy cause.

We stopped here and spent time with a lovely lady Karen who told us the History of The Coleman Theatre This theatre has been lovingly restored to its finest and is well worth a couple of hours to reflect Karen Really is a hive of knowledge and a genteel soul

This theater is an amazing tour. I took my grandmother and son here while visiting the Tulsa area. The tour guide was absolutely amazing. Great piece of History

My family stopped in on July 15th, as we were driving RT 66 this summer. It was such fun. Karen was our tour guide and is a great guide. She knows the history of the theatre, but also the area and encouraged questions. She was very interactive and my two teenagers and 10 yr old all enjoyed it very much! We got to get on stage and listen to the old pipe organ play and she encouraged us to dance a bit- which we did and we all thought it was neat to think of what that would be like in the heyday.
This is a beautiful theatre, and the tour was great. It was a donation suggested of $5 per person ( I think) but I'm sure any donation is appreciated, and you just pay as you leave in a little box. It was a delightful little stop on our trip.

Come visit the Coleman Theatre in Miami, Ok for an experience from the past. We will be celebrating 100 years of the silent film "Blood and Sand" on April 9 & 10th. Come experience it in our original 1929 Vaudeville Theatre with world renown Dennis James on the Mighty Wurlitzer.

We drove past the 1929 Coleman Theater on our Route 66 roadtrip and have regretted ever since that we didn't take time to stop and walk around this. It is just beautiful, and lovingly preserved. One of the most impressive theaters we've ever seen anywhere.

This was a stop for our group as we traveled Route 66 with Two Lane America! Even though I have traveled Route 66 on four occasions, this was the first time that the theatre was open for a tour! We had a tour guide give us some of the history of the place, how the town got together to save it as a historical monument when it was about to be demolished. It would be a great place to watch any type of event. It gave me a sense of what luxury was all about in the Roaring 20's and after!

While doing a stretch of Route 66, we came upon the Coleman Theater in Miami. The first time we were there, they had already closed, so we made sure to start there on this trip. The lady who did our tour knew so much about not only the theater, but also the family behind building the theater. She was extremely patient, very knowledgeable, and answered every question that we had. We were there for almost an hour. If you like history and if you're doing the Route 66 route, I strongly encourage you to get there in time to go inside and look around. I don't think you will be disappointed.

The theatre offers free tours Tuesday through Friday, from 10:00am to 4:00pm, and 10:00am to 12:00pm on Saturdays. I suggest calling first to make sure that times have not changed.
