Highly recommend! A little tricky to find. Go to the visitors center and they’ll give you directions. Beautiful parks on both sides of the highway. One for little or picnicking/grilling and one just the airplane park. So much history and both beautiful areas even though so close to the busy highway. The gift shop in the visitors center is a must. Great staff!!

Neat outdoor air museum. I always thought the airplanes off Air Depot and I-40 were behind the base gates but they are accessible to the public. I think technically you’re supposed to stop at the little building and get a visitors pass.

Free admission & there’s a parking area with restroom facilities. If you go to the right there is a Medal of Honor tribute which lists the recipients from Tinker by conflict.

I enjoyed looking at all the planes and reading their descriptions on their plaques. I was really impressed with the sculpture of Charles Hall who was one of the Tuskegee Airmen. Great pilot and he ended up working at tinker after his military service.

The Rosie the Riveter statue was really nice and it paid homage to all the women who stepped in during WWII to fill vacant jobs while the men were off fighting the war. It mentioned over 10,000 oklahoma women worked at the Douglas Aircraft Facility & Tinker Airbase during WWII.

The airpark is a nice place to take a short walk around. Estimating most people spend 30 minutes to an hour here or more if you enjoy taking pictures. There are benches to sit, sidewalks for strollers & wheel chair accessibility.

Don’t miss out seeing the Prisoner of War & MIA monument on the Far East side of the park. It’s a beautiful & poignant reminder to honor those who have served in the armed forces.

Large collection of well preserved and maintained aircraft. Easily accessible for Hwy 40, and located just outside of Tinker Air Force Base. Open sunrise to sunset with clean restrooms available. The collection includes: A-7D, EB-47, F-105D, EC-47, EA-6B, VC-135, WB-29, B-52D, F-4D, B-1B and an Advanced Cruise Missile. Named after the first Tuskegee Airmen to score a victory in WW2. A must visit for any aviation enthusiast. Across the street is AT-38 and on base an EC-121 is on static display. FREE admission. Cement trails make walking and wheelchair movement easy.

Muy bueno para los amantes de las aeronaves, solo como nota; no puedes usar drones para fotografías.

Finally got the chance to see this "Air Park". I can't call it a museum. The Air Park is a small collect of military aircraft which is displayed out doors. The is no indoor facilities. It's in a grassy setting with concrete walkways. It is very wheelchair accessible, but very little shade is available. Most shade or shelter is provided be the wings of the aircraft. There are restrooms in the parking lot. Even though it's a small park, any military aircraft display is cool to see.

Stopped at a Starbucks and saw this across the highway and glad we went over to see it.
Always enjoy seeing displays of military aircraft and theses are done well. It is always impressive to see the B 52 and realize they are 50+ years old. While this is good, the new air museum at Dulles Airport in DC is fantastic.

Even though it was over 95 degrees out, it was still worthwhile stopping to wander amongst these aircraft.....huge B-52's , a presidential plane, fighters, etc. Quite an open air display and so close to I-40. My husband, a long-time pilot, was very glad we stopped.

Oklahoma is hot in the summer & this is outdoors. There are a lot of planes to see.

The way they have the sidewalk set up - you can't walk from plane to plane - you have to circle the plane all the way around and get to back to the main sidewalk then walk on that to the next plane. Lots of walking makes for a great workout!

There are signs at each plane giving the history.

It's free & parking is free too! Easy access off I-40 at Tinker AFB

A must-see that our lical family knew about. Fantastic for those who are history buffs, aircraft buffs, military. Or simply a great place to visit and honor our military, veterans and POW's. Really enjoyed seeing this. Especially being Memorial Weekend.

Always take our grandson here and he never gets tired of the old planes. Most were just recently repainted and they are all in good condition. Mostly Vietnam era planes along with a B-1 bomber
