You need to go to the WCWS. We have had tickets for years and go as often as we can. The new upper deck is nice, as is the rest of the renovations. The only thing I don't like is the parking, but that's a minor detail.

Didn't go to the Hall of Fame. Instead went to the USA Softball Complex right next to it, which had recently seen the Women's College World Series. Indeed there was a company there picking up some portable lighting equipment from the parking lot. Also still a few tents and the like still up. Have watched pieces of the softball world series on tv over the years, wanted to get an idea in person of the scale of it. Couldn't get inside the stadium, just a few peeks from outside, but still it was impressive. College softball and baseball is a big deal in Oklahoma; it led the local news sports reports every night. Glad we went.

Very small…displays are nice….but not very interesting! The Olympic area was the best! Nice gift shop! Don’t go out of your way to go here!

Atmosphere was great!! But…
Parking is chaotic and needs more structure. It was surprising since they host EVERY YEAR. Much improvement needed.
Food lines in the venue were long. You will miss at least half an inning if you want to eat. More “grab and go” kiosks needed.
Merchandise tent was left with only small and medium sizes by Sunday. I was ready to spend. Oh well.
My first trip and was disappointed in these things. You’d think they’d have it running much better. It felt like this was their first year. Get better guys!

Nice Stadium. Love the expansion. If you aren’t local it is very hard to find food stores etc. We’ve hosted several guest during tournaments.

Having two girls play fastpitch softball, one a world class umpire of softball, and the other a three time American, and I coached over 30 years and umpired over seven year, fast pitch softball. Coming to visit was like a dream come true. We enjoyed the displays, history and presentation of all the softball memorabilia. I was surprised a lot of attention was given to men's softball, and college. ASA, Triple Crown, Little Miss and other organization below college level, and the colleges and universities below D-1 were not really represented. Still, it was a wonderful display and collection to see.

How OKC continues to host the WCWS is beyond me. There are literally zero places to eat around this venue. You have to drive several miles to find a decent meal. The food here is very state fairish, which is ok, but if you're here for a number of days it gets old. Hopefully the upgrade helps, but I'm not holding my breath.

much to see about softball, USA Softball's home office, the NGB of the sport. Olympics history, old equipment and a lot more.

I have been to the NSBHoF many times. I have umpired softball there many times. Every thing is always first class. Great parking and easy access. This is a great family venue.

Any insider tips about parking and/or traffic to the stadium during the WCWS? How early should I plan on getting there?

Parking is extensive and free and at the door. Traffic is pretty much a non issue although rush hours might slow you down some. The Museum is just off the Interstate. As far as during the College World Series, I would get there as early as possible and in any case at least an hour before game time. I believe they have overflow parking at the casino too (with a shuttle).

There are a number of attraction in the area, zoo, I max, fireman's museum, race track, etc. However, I have never stayed in the area. I am sure there are taxis that come to the area. I just looked up online and "Embark" OKC public transit does have service to that area, it is route 022, Martin Luther King. It runs every 30 minutes Monday to Saturday. You might check this out online to see if it connects to your motel. Hope this is a little helpful.
