It was most refreshing to attend the most recent OKC Philharmonic presentation
" Classic Six" performance. Maestro Alexander Mickelthwate brings to OKC a renewed enthusiasm and vigor in conducting the Philharmonic. The "spread" of the music from Bates' "Mothership" thru Joyce Yang's piano presentation of "Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, Op.43 thru, and yes it was long, Beethoven's "Symphony No. 3 in E-flat major, Op55 (eroica) was most refreshing and well received. Maestro Mickelthwate should have a long and welcomed stay in OKC>
