Awesome place. Lots of different playground area for kids and nice stroll and walk path for the adults. Place is clean, lots of places to sit and relax. We were out on a beautiful day with perfect weather and gentle breeze of wind. Plan to come back again. Would highly recommend to anyone for an evening walk and to take the kids for play and some fun.

Amazing playgrounds (yes, plural). Lots of different features for lots of ages. Also a big sand area so be prepared for that.

What a wonderful park! We could not believe that this amazing playground and area is free for the community here in Tulsa. So many things to do but the climbing and rope bridges - wow so cool! Our family just had so much and we only wished we had something like this back home!

I have traveled to many destinations world wide and I have to say that the Gathering Place is my and my children's absolute favorite place to go run amuck.
We drive here from Vermont to visit family. This place is a place that all of my family who live in and around the area can hang out and visit.
The older and younger children can play through the fantastically designed play structures. The adults can watch their children while visiting or can race to the top of the turret
My children dream about it after returning home. It is a way to be 1 with nature like cranes and rabbits inthe middle of town. It's a good way to keep in shape!
Oh and I forgot to mention, it's free!!!
Tulsa is so lucky to have such a gift for the people!

This is a very cool place. the kids play area is AMAZING! I really wish I had a place like this as a kid. We don't have kids but this playground is ideal if you do. the rest of the park is for everyone else. it as plenty of green space for relaxing, even saw someone flying a kite.
The only downside was the view of the river is currently marred by the construction. Hopfully that will finish up soon, but ignore that and the park itself is a jewel.
Also, there are staff all over the place ready to help out. That was a nice feature.

It's great! We came here as the main destination for a weekend getaway with friends for our 7YO's birthday and it was great! I can't believe it's free.

2 things obscure the true awesomeness of this place: the volume of people who are always there any time you want to be there... and the weird spread-out layout that is aware of the incumbency of infinite people hanging out there. That's it. It's a bit too spread out. What choice do they really have?? Anyway, it's still free to park and participate. Although we live in Tulsa, we probably only go 2x annually where we really take time to hang out there. We probably go to Lafortune equally, but the Gathering Place is only overpopulated because it is great.

Every city should have a place like this! Perfect for every age to enjoy. Clean, relaxing, beautiful views and delicious coffee and cinnamon rolls at the cafe. Be sure to go see the Cabinet of Wonderment at the boat house.

This place is absolutely amazing. If you visit Tulsa spend some time here. There is something for everyone. You can walk all around the parks and view all kinds of flora. We saw so many butterflies in one of the areas. There are so many places to have a picnic, or, watch the sunset over the Arkansas River. Great for individuals, couples and families.

Dogs are allowed every Wednesday on all grassy lawns and pathways throughout the park.
What is the entry fee ? How much should I plan to spend for me and 2 kids a day?

Sorry I didn't see this sooner. The Gathering Place is actually FREE! There are a few small food and drink vendors, as well as you can rent kayaks and other items, but I have gone multiple times and it doesn't cost a cent!

Parking is free and there is a free lot to the south if the parking is full. Don’t park in the neighborhoods, you might get towed.

this is not a water park. There is a water area for kids (a shower like feature and available boating on the small waterway. But this is a fun area for kids and they young at heart with lots of options.

It is my understanding dogs are only allowed on Wednesday’s from 6 to 8. However I couldn’t find the info on their website or Facebook page to confirm.

Gathering Place does offer wheelchairs. Wheelchairs can be picked up from the Guest Services desk inside the Williams Lodge. Wheelchairs rentals are free, we just ask for a photo I.D. in exchange while you have the wheelchair in the Park.
