Milk is tops, but your cottage cheese is the best anywhere. Cant get it in ruidoso nm. My kids bring it when they come.

Very interesting to learn how Mr. Braum (Our sympathy to the whole Braum’s family in the recent passing of Mr. Bill) built the business. Lots of interesting information. Watching how the baked goods are made and how the ice cream and dairy products are processed and bottled/packaged held the interest of both our 9 and 3 year old grand daughters. The visit took about an hour and a half.

Even the teens loved this tour and the guide was very informative and friendly. It was really interesting to see how all the products they make are put together. I have bad knees but the tour was slow and there were a few benches to rest at. They even end the tour with an ice cream bar.

I took my boys 13, 11, and 8. They were all interested to learn about the Dairy Farm. Anita was a great guide and gave us all the information we needed. We had a fun morning! My boys were a little sad because they wanted to see the cows-but we understand that could be messy and inconvenient.

We toured the plant and bakery as a group. After seeing a short film we were transported by bus to the dairy plant and then the bakery. Braums is owned by a single family and the company has stores in 5 states. Over 300 stores receives merchandise every other day. This is a fascinating operation that provides an outstanding product whether in be dairy or baking goods. Always been a patron and will continue to be.

We went with a group of friends to visit the Braum's family farm where the raise dairy cattle as well as the basic ingredients for their many Braum's ice cream and dairy stores. We found that they grow many plants and cows, the basic ingredients for their ice creams, milk and many other dairy products that are sold in their stores. We were impressed with the knowledgeable man (James), who led our group on the tour. He showed us that they produce the grains used to bake their breads, buns and cookies and own approximately 11,000 cows which are milked daily to make the dairy products. The factory was very clean and free of debris. Spills were cleaned up quickly and we all marveled a the factory and the automation used to produce their products, and the steps taken to insure the freshness of the products.
We were given samples of ice cream which were delicious and greatly appreciated.

I spent almost a decade living on Oklahoma in the 1980's, and one of the things I miss most
about OK is Braum's Dairy Stores. There is nothing else like them. Unfortunately for us outside of OK, to keep things fresh, the chain does not build stores more than 300 miles from their home base, so I, in South Texas, am now 225 miles from the nearest Braum's in North Texas. If you want to see the factory where they process
their delicious milk and make the ice cream and other dairy products (all from their own cows) and you want to see how the fresh breads and cookies are made, you'll love this tour of the factory, outside of the small town of Tuttle, OK (about 45 minutes from OKC). You don't get to milk cows or anything like that (although you can see the cows in the distance and you learn about them)--it's a factory tour, and there are windowed corridors on the upper levels of the building you visit, where you can look down into the factories below (and friendly employees will wave at you) and see whatever they are making that day. The process is explained well as is the unique business model and quality emphasis that makes Braum's what it is.
If you are not familiar with Braum's, I don't know if you'd get a lot out of the tour. Maybe you should visit a Braum's store first, and if you feel that it is something special (taste a few of their dairy and bakery products while there), as most Oklahomans do, then by all means visit the factory. If you are from out of state and visiting family in Oklahoma, I'm sure they can fill you in on Braum's and take you to their local store and let you see for yourself. Oh, be sure to make reservations AT LEAST one month in advance as it's a small tour and fills up fast. Also, the lady who you'll talk to on the phone will e-mail you directions to the rural factory--you'll definitely need those directions! I really enjoyed the tour because I really enjoy Braum's stores.

Serious eye opener for the mass production of breakfasts, breads, sweet eats, & alas, dairy products. Learned interesting things like 300mile radius for deliveries, baby calves have full set of teeth, & the speed of trucking services.
This place is ran like a military base. Awe inspiring, & shocking to see such robotics & conveyor belts. Kinda feel a terminator vibe of catch phrase, " I'll be Back "

I was with a senior group, that traveled to see the Braum's Dairy Farms, we arrived around nine in the morning. We were greeted by our tour guide for the morning. The guide stepped on our bus and explained to us the grounds,calves, and buildings. We visited the bakery. We were able to see the buns, cookies, ice cream cones, and milk on the lines. We watched a short movie, and I was impressed by the turn around time of the milk and ice cream. The quide also answered all our questions. We received treats at the end of our tour.

Shuffled from one window to the next while listening to recordings from an I-Pad or I-Phone.
Nice facility and interesting to see but the tour information added nothing. Enjoyed other tours where a volunteer leads and they care about the process and it isn't just a job.

Will u possibly being adding more stores in Texas? Some of my family moved to Corpus Christi from Oklahoma. They miss Braums SO much!
