Great father/daughter bonding trip! Me and my 26-year-old daughter went on the lava tube cave tour and loved it. Our guide, Charlie, was very informative and led a great tour. This was a fun thing to do in Bend and something we wouldn’t have done on our own. Shared the info we learned on hikes/walks with the rest of the family over the next few days.

I originally scheduled a distillery tour which Wanderlust canceled and rescheduled a prohibition tour which sounded pretty fun. On the day of the tour, I found out it was canceled with no advance notice or offer of a similar tour to replace it. I don't plan on ever using them again while in Bend.

We had a fantastic time on the Volcano Tour with Jose! Jose was not only a friendly and fun guide, but very knowledgeable about the natural and human history of the volcano sites we visited. The sites we hiked were beautiful and almost other worldly. Since we were visiting during the slow season in Bend and the tours require a minimum of 4 people, I was impressed that Jeannie at Wanderlust contacted us early to let us know she was doing her best to coordinate with another couple visiting that week so we could all go. She also gave us recommendations for other hikes in the area to do on our own. The staff at Wanderlust is clearly passionate about their work and about sharing the beauty of Bend with others. We highly recommend booking a tour with them!

Abbey was exceptional. Friendly, informative, positive and willing to answer questions. She explained how to use the canoes, the surrounding lava and volcanic activity and the guided tour to Lake Paulina and back.
We would do this tour again and recommend to others.

I really don't have the words to describe how amazing and special this tour was for our family of four (kids age 13 and 10). Mitchell, our guide, was absolutely spectacular. He was very knowledgeable, kind, and generous with his time. He also engaged and connected well with the kids. We did the restricted entry cave tour (Skeleton Cave). Most of the cave is large/open but it does have a tighter section you can climb to which was very fun. Mitchell was great about answering questions and pointing things out which really enhanced our experience. The cave was fascinating! I would definitely recommend this tour. Our family will always remember this special experience. Thank you Mitchell and Wanderlust Tours!

We did a lava tube cave tour with Abby in August 2023. 3 adults, 1 child age 6.
Abby was terrific, she kept my son engaged during the whole tour, was very knowledgeable about the area, and was the sweetest tour guide we’ve ever met. We had such a fun time! Thanks Abby!!!

We did the Starlight Canoe tour. The experience was incredible and literally out of this world. We were blessed with a moonless night and multiple shooting stars. Abbey was an exceptional guide. She was engaging, knowledgeable and patient coaching and waiting for wayward canoes to return to the group. The tour provided hot cocoa and a special treat from Sparrows Bakery which was delicious. This tour experience was perfect.

What a peaceful beautiful experience! Our instructor Jeannie was so patient, knowledgeable, and attentive. We had a group 6 with 4 being a pretty advanced kayaking family in comparison to my husband and me but we didn't feel rushed. It was pretty funny I bet to watch us try to figure out how to tandem paddle but we figured it out... the last 15 minutes! lol! I've been planning our trip to Oregon since March and its understandable that some places weren't booking summer activities when the area is still covered in snow. Still the response times from those companies were sometimes weeks if I ever did get a response. A couple of them had staff that were so vague on details it scared me away. We also weren't comfortable renting a canoe or tandem kayak and transporting it ourselves, much less figuring out how to properly use them on our own. (we've only had single kayak experience and never had to transport them) I contacted multiple places and Wanderlust responded quickly, answered all my questions, and offered tips prior to the tour so we could be more comfortable. Overall, I felt taken care of and the only regret we had was not booking the lava cave with them. Also Jared (our instructor's boss who was doing a peer review) was very nice and friendly. We met a total of 4 employees, and all seemed like great people to go on an adventure with! Also we got a little treat that and stopped to see the Paulina waterfall! Highly recommend! Also bring water shoes, plenty of sunblock, and a swimsuit!

What is the cost of the tours and what are my choices of tours available? We will be there 7/3-4,.

Agree with the others, check out their website. The snowshoe tour was around $65 pp, but it included travel to site in snowy weather...I recommend them highly. Reasonable rates and you can also learn a great deal about the area. I highly suggest doing a tour when you first get there to help you learn of other activities in the area that you will be able to do in your own.
