We had little kids (5, 3 and 2 year old) and they love horses! They all really wanted to go and ride a horse on vacation. Diane was so amazing with the kids and they all loved it! We have three kids now who want to take riding lessons!

This was our annual family vacation, we always go horseback riding. Diane was great, she made everything personal from picking the right horse to making sure my 14 year old niece was doing everything correctly and having fun while learning. I highly recommend doing this ride, even though it wasn’t a traditional trail ride it was beautiful scenery and worth the money.

Eight of us (6 to 71 years old) took a ride with Diane and had a great time. Since we had young ones she took us around a set track verses a range ride but her enthusiasm and love of horses made it safe and fun. She takes very good care of her riders and horses. Stop in and see her!

We do a horseback riding experience wherever we travel, and we’ve seen a wide range of expertise and animal care. Diane is tops in both categories.
She is, first and foremost, a teacher. My seven-year-old (and I) really appreciated the proper instructions she received, which type of instructions my daughter hasn’t previously received in general trail-riding experiences. Our eight-year-old friend, who’d never ridden, received great foundational training. I, a long-time casual rider, even got some good tips.
My other concern when choosing a place for trail riding is how well the horses are treated. Fortunately, with one exception, we’ve found places that take good care of their horses. Diane’s Riding Place is among those places we’ve visited where the horses seemed both happy and healthy.
Diane’s place was considered a bit of a drive from our Sunriver lodging, but it was well-worth the trip. Given our positive experiences, I’d make the drive again without hesitation.

We're visiting Bend and my 4 year old daughter wanted to ride. Diane was amazing during the 30 minute lesson (arena work and a trail ride) So kind, patient and fun. We'll definitely be back next year when we're up visiting again.

My 6 year old was dying to try horse back riding & the Bend area resorts require a child to be 7. Got a referral to Diane's and she will do private rides for younger kids & it was awesome. Got one hour and got to go around her beautiful 20 acre property and even tried trotting.
Diane is great & it was a wonderful experience for my son. Highly recommend.

Do you get to go out and ride trails or is it all on owners property? Not looking for lessons.. looking to ride and see bend and the sites.
