I've fished with Chris on the Deschutes and on the coast. Winter, summer, spring, and fall--I'd go with him anytime! He knows how to take care of people and how to find fish for them.

Chris and his staff always provide a great day on the water. From the fishing to the food and attention to safety, I am always impressed at the effort put forth to provide a service well worth the money.

Chris O'Donnell of River Runner Outfitters is an outstanding guide on the Deschutes. My partner and I had a three day steelhead camp-and-fishing trip (two nights spent camped on the river) with Chris and his equally proficient partner Nick Rowell. These are two great steelhead guys who are passionate about fishing the swing and all aspects of spey fishing and have great expertise to pass on without being overbearing about it. Chris did most of the guiding this time around while Nick took care of camp; food was terrific, camp comfy, Chris knows every rock in the river. You may know the steelie run was way off in 2016, so we had very slow fishing. Our weather was really unsettled (high wind, rain, sun). Chris never lost his enthusiasm. Last morning he put me into a run as the water was rising and coloring up badly from rain but I hooked and landed an exceptional fish for the Deschutes, a 35-lb king salmon, caught on the swing with my 7-wgt Echo glass spey rod. It made my trip. Thanks, Chris!

Chris and Sterling were fantastic guides. Amazing day on the river. Great and professional Spey rod teachers, caught a beautiful steelhead (and had another on), and had a lot of laughs. These guys are pros.

I will be in the Portland area Sept 11, 2017 and would like to know about any fishing opportunities in the area. I live in S. Fla. and this will be my first trip to Northern Oregon, I know nothing about the area. I understand that Sept. is a good them for steelhead.
