Hi Everyone
I went Camping & Fly Fishing on the Owyhee River April 9th, 10th & 11th of 2022. Great Time, Great Guide (Cory Godell) Excellent food and best part, twenty + hook ups a day with Brown Trout over 15-16 inches.
Cory really knows his craft. He knows how to pick the best parts of the river, works with different flys to entise the fish and varies the leader thickness if the bite slows.
Overall Cory gets the job done, which translates into a lot of fun for the fly fisherman that is tagging along.
I highly recommend Deschutes River Anglers for your next fishing trip. It will leave a smile on your face for many years!

Great day of fishing with Cory. I'm sure he can tailor a trip to any ability but we had lots of fun stalking feeding fish with #18 dries. Technical enough to be rewarding but easy enough because he knows the water (and a few individual fish) so well.
Would highly recommend.

I highly recommend Cory to anybody who is considering a fishing trip on the Deschutes River in Central Oregon. He is very knowledgeable, friendly and puts on a great trip. He knows all the spots on the river, whether it is stalking big rainbows with a dry fly, nymphing, or looking for big steelhead. We took a four-day trip with him and caught some beautiful trout. His accommodations are also nice. Nice big tent and comfortable cot to sleep on. He has a dining tent for breakfast and dinner. And the food was delicious. Amazing what they can do with the food on a camping trip. Really, all you have to do is sit back, float the river and enjoy some of the best trout fishing in North America. Thanks, Cory. See you next year.
