Beautiful setting
2020年7月 • 夫妻情侣
We stayed in our RV. Many sites are on the river with access to the trail that leads along the river and to the logging museum nearby. The river trail is just beautiful, we only stayed one night, but walked the trail twice. The only downside was because of Covid and the bathrooms were closed and....there were no trash receptacles. I’m glad they were open and the camp host was very gracious.

Lovely setting
2020年6月
We loved the setting and being close to the river. The spaces were not super close together and the camp host was very nice. We were able to check in early as our site was vacant. We stayed here in our travel trailer, with full hook up.

Wonderful park along the way to other destinations
2019年9月
We camped here in our small travel trailer to attend Ride the Rim at Crater Lake. We arrived just before the check-in time of 4pm and there was a camp host at the entrance to greet us and tell how to get to our site. Our site B-31 was near the entrance and surrounded by several camp host sites, which was nice for us as we like it quiet. The campsites are quiet close to one another and offer little privacy. Fortuantely during our stay, though all the sites were reserved to capacity, it was really quiet in the evenings and mornings. Our site had full hook-ups ane everything worked well. Our site was raked when we arrived though we did not use the supplied bench as we camped with relatives that had a tent site across from us and site up the dining area there as their site was larger. We really enjoyed the easy hike to the confluence Williamson River and Spring River, which are absolutely amazing. A bit further on our hike we came to the Logging Museum which offers a bit of history along with many pieces of large equipment that were used during earlier times to log. The campground is not far off Hwy 97 making it a convenient stop over. We also rode our bikes to the primitive Williamson campground which was only a couple of miles away along the trails, then took the gravel road back to our campsite. The bathrooms were clean and the showers offered warm but not hot showers, which still felt good on a cold sub 50 degree morning. We definitely plan to come back here for an night or two when traveling to Bend, OR or beyond, but make sure you have a reservation as this is a very popular campground.

Beautiful!
2019年8月
This is a great place for a night or two. Very clean. Mostly RVs and all the tent spots are in the inner circle. We paid extra for an RV spot to be on the outer edge for more privacy (tent). My only complaint is hwy noise. I didn't think it would be much with Williamson River and Clear Creek right there but it was a little distracting. We would still stay here again, though. Dare to take a dip where the waterways meet! (Oops, sorry, this was meant for the campsites. Even so, this place is beautiful.)

Love this Park! Rangers are very nice and helpful. Volunteers working there are great. The logging museum located across the highway has easy access.

A very nice place to go camping
2019年7月 • 家庭
My family of four stayed at the campgrounds for four nights. We had such a nice time that we decided to stay an extra night. The trails are nice and great for the not so experienced hikers. We walked a trail down to the river and did some fishing. The river is simply beautiful. The water is so clear you can see down to the bottom in parts of it. I will say it was very cold, but worth putting my feet in. There is a lot of chipmonks at the campgrounds. They were very cute, just waiting for you to drop some crumbs. This is a pet friendly place. All dogs were on leashes. The staff were freindly, restrooms clean, all of the campground was well taken care of. We would love to stay here again.

Wonderful trip
2019年5月
Stopped for a few days in between Lake Tahoe & the Oregon Coast. Visited Crater Lake while there. This park may be a hidden gem. The campground is beautiful, full h/u. Very clean. There is a creek on one side & a river on the other. Waters were higher than usual due to snow melts. The water is crystal clear in the creeks. The Logging Museum was super nice. Both the campground & museum are pet friendly. The museum is across the street from the campground but there is a walking trail and a cute little bridge across the creek. Loved it here.

The Logging Museum is so real with a little gift shop. There is a day use area and a camping area.

The day use area is a great place to put in a kayak and float down the beautiful and clear Williamson River to Chiloquin. The park is beautiful and well kept and the camping nice.

Best State Park Campground!

Collier Memorial State Park is the best campground I have ever stayed at. Everything, from the paved campsites to the restrooms to the multiple camp hosts, was first class. Plus, there is an excellent logging history outdoor museum!

September Camping at Collier State Park
2018年9月 • 夫妻情侣
Great visit at Collier State Park Campground at the confluence of the Williamson River and Spring Creek. Sites are clean and well-maintained, the pull throughs seemed to be the most spacious. Those that you have to back into have less open space around them. Campground was still quite full on a late September weekend so highly recommend reserving a spot. Sites B9-B19 have the least amount of shade, which could be an important factor if booking during the hot summer months. Bathrooms were clean, shower stalls were kind of small (bring a bag to hold your clothes!) but showers were hot. Trails to bathrooms/shower facilities are paved. There is no "extra vehicle" parking within the camping loops, but it is available at the entrance. Fire wood is available for purchase ($5 per bundle). The hosts were friendly and helpful. The logging museum and the day use area are both easy trail walks along Spring Creek from the campground. There is good fishing from foot bridges or cast your line from the banks of either location. One note: the campground is full of chipmunks/ground squirrels so take precautions if you are in a tent or if you have dogs that are squirrel crazy! :-)
