It’s a quick hike, once you get to the falls (bit of a drive but roads are decent). The peace of the falls in the early morning is amazing.

Easy drive to this beautiful waterfall trailhead. Short easy hike altho there were still some logs down across the trail. Nice view point at the falls with a picnic table.

The hike is short enough and easy enough for seniors, children and those hikers without a lot of experience. Try visiting in the spring when the water is heavier and makes the falls much more beautiful. I visited in October. Oregon had a dry summer so the waterfall was not as engaging as it could have been. I plan to go back in January to see Spirit Falls at its best.

This is a fun easy place to find and see. No disappointments! Walk across the creek, the falls is even prettier from the other side due to the way the fals fan out.

This was a perfect hike for our two early-school aged children! It was just around 1/3 of a mile in to a beautiful waterfall It was a short amount of energy expended for a great reward!!!

Past wildwood falls. Also near moon falls and pinard falls. All worth checking out. Easy short hikes to all.

We hiked with our three small children down to the falls after a pretty sketchy drive out there. When we arrived we were the only ones there! We had the falls to ourselves for about 30 minutes. The falls drop down into a relatively shallow pool of water that then gently cascades into smaller little pools. Rocks are slippery, but we just went in wearing shoes because why not? My two older children, 8 and 5 years, were amazed and had "the best day of their lives" I was just overjoyed to experience these falls with my littles and have them appreciate God's Playground as well. We stayed for about an hour and when we left there were about 20 people there of all ages. No cell phone service at all and the road out gets a little sketch at times, gravel, dips, and narrow. The hike itself is short (less than half mile), but there are some steep parts so if you have knee problems then this might not be for you. Easy enough for my 8 and 5 year to hike and we carried our 1 year old on our back. There are lots of mosquitos so wear bug spray or whatever. Very shady. Water is not that cold!

Spirit Falls tumbles 60 ft into a secluded pool at the end of a short (0.4 mi) trail through mature forest with some steep switchbacks at the end. Get back in your car and drive 3.2 miles to Moon Falls. This waterfall trail is about .5 miles out and back. Then, there is a third waterfall a little further down the road, Pinard Falls. This is also about a 1 mile out and back trail. The waterfalls are awesome. Best time to go is April. We went in mid-June and loved it.
From intersection of Row River Rd and Sharps Creek Rd 4 mi SE of Dorena Reservoir (Site B8), turn E on Row River Rd. Go 3.6 mi and bear L on Layng Creek Rd (Forest Rd 17). Go 8.8 mi to junction with Forest Rd 1790. Turn R on Rd 1790 and go 0.15 mi to trailhead for Spirit Falls (Trail #1413), or continue to Moon Falls by turning L on Rd 1702 for 2.8 mi, then R on Rd 1702-728 for 0.3 mi, and left on spur Rd 1702-203 to reach trailhead (Trail #1723).
