A winery is not really a place you would visit in the middle of winter after a snow storm… but there we were. The location is beautiful, even without all the colors of spring. The wines in the flight were not extraordinary; nothing jumped out at us. Interestingly, the food platters were delicious: the turkey and brie sandwich and the lox platter. The server was very friendly and knowledgeable about the product. Good experience!

WOW!!!! What a Beautiful Winery and the View is Gorgeous!!!! We were greeted as soon as we walked in and spoiled from the time we arrive until we left!!! The Staff is Outstanding!!! Our Server, William was Amazing and was Extremely Knowledgeable about the Wines and the Winery!!! The Wine was Absolutely Delicious!! William was very kind and never rushed us!! He made us feel like part of the "Family!!"
They didn't know it was Our 50th Wedding Anniversary until the very end and they were Sooo Excited for Us!!!!
Thank You for Making Our Day Extremely Memorable!! We'll Definitely be Back!!!

My husband and I enjoyed visiting the Stoller winery so much! They have an expansive patio area that overlooks the beautiful hills and vineyards. Our host was very personable and knowledgeable, and we enjoyed tasting the delicious wines from the estate. There was definitely an intergenerational feel to the group that visited the estate while we were there. We look forward to our next visit!

We visited a small winery prior to visiting Stoller, and had a two hour tasting with the owners/wine makers. It was fabulous. It was informative and personal, and the wines were superb. We ended up buying a case of wine!
Then we went to Stoller. Opposite end of the spectrum. Large, impersonal, cold. The wines on the tasting menu were pedestrian. And the waitress rushed us to finish, even though the place wasn’t full.
Since we were paying for the tasting we decided to buy a bottle to absorb the cost of the tasting. But wait! Stoller requires you to buy 2 bottles in order to absorb the tasting fee. It’s in the small print on their tasting menu. And you have to read the small print because the wait staff didn’t inform us until she asked for my credit card. No thanks.
We won’t return.
On the plus side, it’s a beautiful setting.

After spending a full day exploring Portland, my husband and I planned a day to Stoller due a friend’s recommendation. It didn’t disappoint. We did a tasting and enjoyed a light lunch while learning about wines and enjoying the views. A really relaxing way to spend an afternoon. After the tasting, we drove to the coast to enjoy the views, ocean and beach.

This is one of the wineries putting Oregon on the map for a great tasting experience! Beautiful new tasting room, fantastic and knowledgeable staff, really delicious cheese and charcuterie board and amazing views. And the wines are arguably some of the best being produced in Oregon. Pinot and Chard are amazing!

I cannot recommend this winery. We visited six wineries during this trip. Stoller was dead last. If I add these six wineries to other trips to Willamette, Stoller would be the bottom of my combined list.

Their tasting room is beautiful. It looks like it was built for events and weddings. The large wall of windows looks out on the vineyard and sweeping lawn. That is where the positives end.
Reservations are needed with a $20 tasting fee that is waived if you buy two bottles. Your reservation does not ensure you can sit inside. They have tables inside and out. There are double the tables outside which is beautiful in nice weather. In the heat of the summer or the cold of the fall, it's not pleasant to sit out there. Even with blankets you shiver while trying to enjoy yourself. We asked to be moved inside when a table freed up. They did it, but they seemed put out. We probably messed up their reservation schedule.
The server walking us through our flight was unengaged, not helpful and was closer to a bartender than an an invested winemaker that is proud of their wine. This is actually my second visit to Stoller. The first was back in 2017. The experience was not as bad as this one, but neither was it great. Check out Shea or Beaux Freres if you want to know what treatment really should be like.

We spend a lot of time in Sonoma and Napa counties so we have tasted at many of the wineries located there. This was our first opportunity to taste in the Willamette Valley and Stoller was our first stop.
You should have reservations at least while staffing and tables are limited due to covid precautions. Tastings are $20 per person; refundable with two bottles purchased. The tasting included five tastes- two chardonnays and two pinots all from vineyards on Stoller properties and a red blend from grapes from the state of Washington. The blend seemed out of place though we were informed the long-time Stoller winemaker had the access to the Washington grapes.
The building is modern, comfortable with socially distanced tables and seating areas. Large windows facing the hill behind with vineyards is your view. You can sit or wander on the outdoor patio though when we there it was 100 degrees plus.
Our server was quite friendly, definitely knowledgable and helpful.
Our preferences were the reserve chardonnay and reserve pinot noir. By comparison to our visits to three other local wineries, Stoller wines were the most reasonably priced.

Very impressed with this wine tasting. We were not aware when we first arrived that reservations are required for tastings, but they managed to accommodate us on a busy afternoon.
The building is beautiful, but we chose to sit outdoors to better enjoy the gorgeous scenery. Our server was very friendly and the wines were delicious - the pinot noir and unoaked chardonnay were the high points for me. If you only do one wine tasting, visit this establishment.

No but they do have a few things you can order to enjoy with your wine like cheese and meat board, oysters when in season, and if you book a room in advance for 6 or more (might be 8), there are other things you can request

For travelling with kids, several websites say "tire swing" and others say "play ground." Which is more accurate? We may be visiting with a toddler. TIA!

Definitely just a tire swing and some lovely acres where the kids can romp, but no playground. Probably the most kid-friendly winery we visited, but it is still a winery.
