We actually own a motorboat, but it comfortably works best for 2-3 with fishing poles swinging around or up to 6 just for fun. Having the option to rent a larger boat from Detroit Marina gives all the benefits of what we need at the moment without all the ownership maintenance.
We rented a pleasure pontoon last summer and LOVED it! it was clean and ready for us when we arrived. Easy to maneuver around. The little kids in our group through running down the center and launching themselves off the end was the coolest thing on the planet. We had us, friends, teens, and some under 10-years old.
There was lots of room for everyone to hang out comfortably and enjoy the lake on a hot summer day.

I rented a slip for the 2021 season 680 dollars.
marina opened may 28 due to low water made us pull the boat july 11
witch was 45 day so i asked for a credit toward next year told nope that's
the season. its out of there control monthly rent is only 240 a month ($8 a day ) i was charged 15 a day and they don't care if i return next year.

We rented a 10 person pleasure pontoon boat for my husband's birthday on a Thursday from 12pm - 6pm. It easily accommodated the 5 adults and 5 kids on board. The boat was clean and comfortable. They provide a lift to take down all of your gear to the loading dock so you don't have to carry it. The prices are extremely affordable when going with a group. The only downfall is the extremely steep staircase that leads to the dock. It is an easy climb down, but more difficult on the way up. I wouldn't recommend for elderly or people with disabilities, only sporty types and kids. Also, next time we will rent a bigger boat if bringing kids under age 5 since they like to move around a lot.

high priced for jet ski rental but so worth it, the lake is amazing! Especially this year with the water level being so high! The water is warm enough to swim comfortably and the campsite around the lake are amazing, I especially like Southshore campground. There is so much to see on the water. The boat rentals were good prices if you have a group to split the cost. The Marina shop is really nice and the employees are very friendly and accommodating.

$150 for 2 hour rental plus almost $15 for gas when you're done. This is extremely high priced compared to what we have paid at other lakes.

This was our first time renting a boat at the Marina. We had the boat for three hours and it was just perfect for exploring. Went to a small cove where there was a waterfall. Kids swam and had a great time. Boat was clean, staff was professional and the cost a good value.
