The winery is closed! Do not make the trip. It is out of Eagle Point, Oregon a good ways and we were disappointed to find out the owners retired and closed the winery.

This winery is a bit off of the beaten path but is worth the beautiful drive for some great wines. Fred LaBrasseur knows his stuff when it comes to wines and wine making. He is friendly and interesting to to and his wines are outstanding!

Absolutely our favorite winery of all the ones we visited during this trip. Fred is a retired fireman, and this is his family's property. He has a lot of history to share in addition to great knowledge of grapes and wine-making. Unlike some other wineries, we didn't feel rushed, pressured, or intimidated. We bought one white and several reds. BTW: Lila, the big dog, is a sweetheart.

We had a wonderful day visiting Fred LaBrasseur for wine tasting at his family's vineyard. I like red, my husband likes white and we both thoroughly enjoyed all the options provided! Fred is fascinating to chat with as his knowledge in regards to wine and grapes is extensive. This is a must visit and worth the beautiful drive!

LaBrasseur Vineyard is a bit tricky to get to, but once you get there, you will realize the extra miles and the trip was well worth it! This is a small family run vineyard, but the wines are just amazing. You get a very personalized experience since it is such a small business. Their tasting room and patio area are right in the backyard of the family home! You are surrounded by the beautiful Southern Oregon landscape and an historic piece of land. The tasting had an excellent variety of wines and generous pours! Fred, the vintner, is wonderful, warm, and very articulate about his craft. This is a hidden gem that I urge any wine lover visiting Southern Oregon to experience!

This is a small family winery. It is quaint. What it lacks in ambience it makes up for in it's stellar red wines!!!

If you want to roam the beautiful countryside and are looking for something fun to do, then I would suggest taking the turn-off heading towards Butte Falls, off of Hwy. 62, and follow the signs to "LaBrasseur Winery", about 12 miles up the road. We did just that a couple of weeks ago and found ourselves mingling with the nicest of people and sampling their wonderful array of wines! I am so happy that we found this special, little piece of heaven that is nestled within the forests of our Rogue Valley.
