I rented a kayak here recently to explore a local lake called Fern Ridge. Not only did they treat me with respect in the rental process, (I am not an experienced kayaker at all) they recommended an awesome spot on the lake where I spotted turtles, cranes and a bunch of beautiful landscapes tucked back in a little forest. 10/10 would recommend renting from Oregon Paddle Sports if you would like to take the boat to another location to paddle.

We were looking to spend a day on The Willamette River while visiting Eugene. The kayaks we rented were great, but when we asked about where to paddle, we were referred to a guidebook we could purchase. I suggested a route and told the cashier what we planning to do. He agreed that it would be a nice relaxing float. When we got on the river, I realized the route I suggested and our cashier agreed on was a full paddle upstream, not what we were looking for.
A suggestion: when you have guests from out of town, take a little time to suggest some possible ideas. Customer service goes a long way.
