I’ve been here numerous times for lattes and breakfast sandwiches, but recently went in for an evening cocktail. The atmosphere is welcoming and the crowd eclectic. Good people watching. They have beer and wine and a full bar with some interesting things on the cocktail menu. I wanted to get a bite to eat, too, but they don’t offer food in the evenings other than cupcakes.

Stopped in for a morning Bloody Mary and a coffee and really enjoyed the vibe of this place. Neat and kooky decor with a comfortable and charming atmosphere. Seems like a great spot any time of day.

A colleague and I wandered around downtown Eugene looking for a good place to grab a couple of happy hour cocktails
after work. We settled on The Barn Light based on the cocktail list posted on the window, and the relatively inviting interior.
We sat at the bar and were greeted immediately, along with a happy hour menu. We each had a couple of their interesting cocktails - including the Toronto! - and enjoyed chatting with the bar staff. The smallish food menu was entertaining. We were tempted by the Frito pie, but ended up asking for a suggestion for where to go for dinner.

Stopped by to check out the menu/bar and we pleasantly surprised at what we found. Friendly people who are interested in you and how to make sure that you have a great time. Food is good and Katie does a wonderful job on the drinks. We will be there again (and have).

Stumbled across this place while walking around downtown Eugene. Good place to stop for a drink or a casual bite to eat.

Was wandering past his place and saw some people drinking what looked like good espresso coffee, so went in. Had great coffee, used the wifi and got some good advice from the two people (one guy, one lady) serving, on where to eat, where to have breakfast and where to stay. Whilst there saw some people eating great looking sandwiches so ordered two - both delicious. Very friendly. This was at 1pm..no idea what it would be like at nighttime.

We thought this looked like a fun place to get something to eat after seeing a play at the Hult Center. It was very disappointing. First, our waitress acted like she was doing us a favor by waiting on us. At one point, I asked where the bathroom was and she pointed to a door leading out into a hallway. The door had a combination lock. I had to walk back to get the combination. She could have easily given that to me in the first place. Apparently, it was too much effort and would have required a friendly attitude. My husband enjoyed his turkey, cheese and avocado sandwich. I ordered chili and cheese over Frito chips. I asked if I could get extra onion in the chili. I was told this was not possible. I don't know why as my husband had extra onion on his side salad. My meal was terrible. Clearly the chili was at the bottom of the pot. It was lukewarm and looked like a crusty lump on the chips. We had already paid for the meal and the waitress would not come back to our table. This place is awful. Stay away if you want to eat. This is a good place to sit and stare at the computer if that is your thing.

I like The Barn Light. It's a cool little hipster bar; coffee shop by day, full bar by night. Definitely a great spot to catch your breath on a downtown pub crawl. Love their outdoor seating.
