A quintessential word nerd hideout. This is a lovely floor to ceiling packed bookstore that hosts events on a regular basis. The owner is a character: friendly, intelligent, opinionated. Every town needs a bookstore like this. We are lucky to have Tsunami!

An incredibly welcoming art and literary creative space for all subjects. Local goods and art shyly tug at your vision between rows and rows of new and used books. Delightfully curated and a welcoming staff, prepared to forget time as you delve into the pages of knowledge and wonder for hours.

Tsunami Books, as one reviewer mentioned, especially welcomes the alternative/metaphysical/religious-spiritual types. But don't let that put you off! This place has a wide selection of paperback novels, mysteries, and a wonderful children's section as well.
Most of the stock is used, though there are some new books in stock.
The owner is a wonderful guy, and his staff is always friendly and helpful.
As a resident of Eugene, I pop in often. Sure, there are times when I don't see any big surprises; but, more than any other bookstore in town, there have been many times I've had a rare title in my mind......and have soon after walked into Tsunami and found it!
This place just has a vibe I like!

We loved this traditional bookstore, which is a rarity as many have been disappearing at an alarming rate —at least in our area—in Northern Virginia/Washington DC.
This place has character and is fun to explore, and they have managed to procure rows of theater seats that you can plant yourself down in and peruse your interests.
Besides books they have an interesting selection of note cards and postcards, and even beeswax candles.
We definitely plan to visit every time we are visiting in the area.

Perfect spot for setting up to read for awhile. They have new and used books, lots of areas for sitting, chill vibes, good music, and basically free tea and coffee (make sure to tip!). My hometown needs a bookstore like this.

Any book you want. If they don't have it they will get if for you. Writers speak about their work, musicians performs, poets slam. This treasure is what a bookstore can be when it is lovingly administered as a community asset.

An exceptionally well-organized used books store with nice displays of books and some unusual selections and interesting finds. Very reasonable prices. The store supports a number of local literary and book oriented activities and events.

Great used and new bookstore especially for those that like new age or metaphysical literature. Prices are very good and the selection is varied and comprehensive. Chairs are available to sit in while you are browsing. Stop here every time I come to Eugene.
