This is a great place to visit and spend a day riding sandboard on the dunes.
The prices are very reasonable and the instructors are amazing.
It's a great family thing to do while visiting the Oregon coast.

So fun!! My 2 sons took lessons from Gabe for an hour and picked it up easily. Gabe was so much fun and had so much patience with everyone. My husband and I rented a sled instead of a board and we both enjoyed that. Lots of walking up and down the dunes but worth it. All in all, we were there a total of 4 hours which was plenty. There’s a Fred Meyers store you can walk to for a restroom. You will be full of sand from head to toe afterwards, but it’s worth it. I wore yoga pants and long sleeve shirt which worked well. Go as early as you can because by noon it’s windy and difficult to board.

SOOOOOO much fun! We took lessons, but you don't need to. The guy doing our lesson was so great! He went over everything really well and even switched things up for a couple of kids that were having trouble getting it. Very patient, very helpful. When we returned the boards, we got to meet the owner who was very personable. The kids had a really great day.

We had a blast trying out the sand boards and sleds. The sand park is amazing- lots of different dunes to try. The man at the shop was very helpful, and provided good tips as we had never done this before.

We loved Sand Master Park and the sandboarding experience!
You need to go to the Sand Master Park storefront first. You can rent sandboards and sleds here. You will also receive a little lesson by the friendly staff. Upon rental, you gain access to their sand dunes. The sand dunes are not at this location- they are located behind the Fred Meyers a little down the road. You can park in their parking lot. Note: this land behind the grocery store is privately owned by Sand Master Park.
I recommend wearing something over your mouth and eyes when on the dunes because of the sand. When sandboarding, you need to go barefoot or in socks.
We just got a good laugh over how bad we were- it is a lot harder than it seems, but it is a lot of fun. Kids and adults will love this.

Friendly service, clear instructions and flexible return policy with ability to return the boards after closing hours (we didn’t get there until 5 pm but therefor still managed to get a few hours in) Super conveniently located on HW101 with the dunes right next to shop (1 minute drive) .

We love sandboarding and Sand Master Park! The staff are incredibly helpful and always makes us feel welcome...our whole family loves sandboarding so much now that it is a "must-do-activity" every time we visit the coast!

We had a great time!! The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. They helped us figure out what we needed for the most optimal experience. Cute shop and even awesome gear for yourself or souvenir!! Overall I give Sand Master Park 10/10.

That age is right on target. They're going to have a blast here! We do offer lessons with certified sandboard instructors if you want to get the optimum experience.

It's not wise to take one so young on the dune buggy as they bounce around a bit much for them.
