We fly fished with a small group of friends from the shore of Wizard Island in Crater Lake. I've fly fished around the World and this has to be one of the most spectacular venues I have experienced......awesome views and large rainbows! The hike down and back up the side of the crater, and scrambling about the lava boulders on the island are not for the faint of heart but if you can do it, you willl have a lifetime memory. Wendy and Ethan are great people and attentive hosts. Can't say it enough.....AWESOME trip!!!

My father and I went back to Adventures Across Oregon for a guided fly fishing day trip last week. We caught so many fish I lost count (every time I tell the story the number gets larger but trust me it was a lot). Ethan and Wendy were just fantastic hosts and my father and I had a day we will remember forever. I would recommend AAO to anyone who is looking for a new adventure in Oregon and for those of you who always wanted to get into fly fishing but were intimidated by the complexity of the sport I promise you a little time with Ethan and Wendy will give you the knowledge and passion to enjoy the sport with some instant success.

I just got back from Ethan and Wendy’s “Single Day Private Vineyard Lake Fly Fishing Adventure” and had a great time. These people are friendly and so pleasant to be around. You can start with Ethan’s shop-talk class (currently $35) then move comfortably into one of their adventure trips. The class was worth every penny. On the trip out, I learned several new ways to fly fish lakes, plus caught 3 nice size trout and a dozen or so bass. I am very glad I went, plan on taking my wife next time, and recommend AAO to others.

My husband and I recently did a one-day lake fly fishing excursion with Adventures Across Oregon. He had many years of experience and I'd never fly fished before (and haven't fished at all in about 35 years!). Ethan and Wendy did a great job of balancing our different needs and interest levels, and also informed us about the local ecology. The day far exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend AAO to friends and family!

In planning our trip to Oregon, my boyfriend and I decided to think outside the box and experience something different. After searching on Yelp, we stumbled upon Adventures Across Oregon. After reading their excellent reviews, I contacted Ethan and Wendy. They were incredibly prompt to respond through email and phone call and not only did they help us plan an excellent excursion but they also suggested other "must sees" during our vacation.
At the start of our adventure with Ethan and Wendy which included fly fishing and hiking, they were on time, full of energy, and made sure we had everything we needed to have a comfortable and FUN day!! The word "passion" does not start to explain their commitment to their "adventurers" as well as their love for their state of Oregon.
Ethan is a master fly fisher who helped both my boyfriend and I with much patience and guidance which lead to us catching 6 fish and enjoying every minute of our experience.
After refueling with a delicious homemade lunch by Wendy, we were led on one of the most beautiful & lush hikes along the riverside!
Ethan & Wendy's love for nature and Oregon was so inspiring that my boyfriend and I changed our trip originally headed into the city of Seattle and continued on our journey exploring Oregon's 7 wonders that Ethan & Wendy helped map out for us.
My boyfriend & I are looking forward to a future excursion with Ethan and Wendy! We would highly recommend Adventures Across Oregon, you will not be disappointed and perhaps inspired as we were!!

We took a customer
fly fishing for the day with Adventures Across Oregon. Ethan did a fantastic job and we were able to have 9 hours of quality time with our customer. For those in sales and business development who want to get some quality one-on-one time with a customer, going out with Ethan for a day is the way to go. Probably one of the most succesful out-of-office events we have done in a long time.

I have taken two different fly fishing lessons with Adventures Across Oregon that were held at the H&H Fly Shop in Forest Grove Oregon. I without hesitation would recommend anyone interested in Fly Fishing or a guided outdoor trip to contact these wonderful people. Ethan and Wendy's passion is evident in everything they do and I found them to be great teachers and great people. They have ignited that same passion in me and have given me the tools to explore this sport at my pace but with the right tools and knowledge to allow me some success as I get started.

First off, if you want to meet some down to Earth awesome people passionate about what they do, go visit Wendy and Ethan of Adventures Across Oregon out of H & H Outfitters Basecamp in Forest Grove, Oregon. Recently, Wendy and Ethan held a massive fly fishing 101 class for the Lakeridge High School Fishing Club members and family. Not a single kid, parent, or sibling left without a huge grin on their face and all were notably stoked about fly fishing. Ethan was quick to accommodate the kids short attention spans, teach them about river conservation, fly fishing tackle, and how to cast. Both Ethan and Wendy possess easy going demeanors that make them really enjoyable to be around. You can't go wrong booking an adventure with Adventures Across Oregon. And while visiting Base Camp of H & H, definitely chat it up with Alex and check out the ridiculously cool apparel they are creating at H & H. Alex even designed custom shirts for our high school fishing club and they are killer looking and of great quality!
Bottom line is, every once in awhile we are lucky enough to meet people that do what they do for all the right reasons and Wendy, Ethan, and Alex are the real deal. Can't say enough awesome things about them!

What an experience my fiancé and I just had with this company! We were wisked away in their AAO van which was comfortable, clean and full of snacks. Our trip was recommended to us by Ethan and Wendy based on their knowledge of what WE wanted to get out of the trip. It felt completely customized for us.
Our adventure was to Elk horn mountain range to Anthony lake which we had never been to before and it was stunning! Once there, we were completely catered to in a way that we have never experienced before. They had all the equipment ready to go for us. In our particular trip we wanted to do some fly fishing and hiking. Ethan couldn't promise us we would catch any fish, but he did give us all the knowledge needed for what the fish would most likely be feeding on. To our surprise we ended up catching so many fish that we lost count. When we returned from fishing, we had a warm, delicious meal ready for us. Wendy and Ethan always seemed to know what we wanted before we did.
One of the most memorable meals was eating some of the rainbow trout we had just caught that day and their incredible take on s'mores, the best ever!
The next day we decided to go hiking up Gunsight mountain and saw tons of wild life. AAO were very accomidating to us along the way informing us about the area. After experiencing this place we have decided we will be returning to this area again.
Their enthusiasm is contagious and their love for the outdoors and Oregon is undeniable. Our trip with AAO made us fall in love with our home state all over again.
We highly recommend anyone looking for an incredible week in Oregon to book and adventure with AAO, it will be an experience you'll never forget!
