The puzzles in the room were entirely linear, so everyone was working on the same puzzle at the same time, rather than being able to work on different tasks. The hint system is impersonal and our ‘game master’ was not paying attention. At one point, I asked for a hint and the hint provided was related to a puzzle we had already completed. There are better escape rooms in the Portland area and they cost less. This is the most expensive escape room I’ve seen and not worth and extra cost.

Super fun game that was very challenging! Had a great gamemaster, Lilith, that provided helpful hints when we were truly stuck. Highly recommend!!!

It was a really fun experience overall and our game master and escapologist Teya with the cool earrings was so nice and friendly would definitely recommended having them as the game master and if I could I would have them again ;) we did the antidote escape room definitely would recommend for beginners

We had a team of four, I would recommend if its your first time to pick one of the
easier rooms rather than the second hardest as we did. We had fun and learned how we should
play when we return. Yes we will be back to be successful next time.

Hello taage1234, thanks for the great review and nice words! I agree with you, first timers may find some of the more difficult games pretty challenging. With that being said, our game masters are always eager to help if you find yourself stuck. Looking forward to seeing ya back soon!

This is my third room here! I’ve done atleast two rooms in every place around and by far THIS is the BEST! My son is actually the one who’s addicted to escape rooms but I love how challenging these rooms are and when they become difficult how helpful the game master is! We’ve only escaped one room out of the 3 but will be coming back to try again in a few months!! SO MUCH FUN!!

My 3 sisters and I needed an activity to do before a birthday dinner. We chose The Lost City room which is rated 7.5/10 difficulty. We did not escape. I know it's about solving puzzles but for 1st timers it would be nice to be TOLD to ask for hints if it's taking more than 5 min per clue before we start instead of after failing. Also would have been nice to be told that often the answers you find will be scrambled. LIKE you need to unscramble words b/c we stupidly thought the answer we found would be the answer, NOPE it was scrambled and needed to be UN-scrambled to make a word we just didn't get there. Honestly it was more frustrating than it was fun for my sisters and I. That being said we did laugh a lot and make a fun memory. I don't see myself going back.

This was the second Escapology game that I've done - this one with my family. It was the "kids" room as we had 3 young children with us. We "escaped" in 50 minutes, but it was not a piece of cake for sure!. It was fun and challenging. This place is a top notch facility and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun adventure with friends or family.

This was our second experience with Escapology and we will be back. Game was challenging and fun! Great for kids and adults alike. Staff is always friendly as well.

Perfect for a night out on a double date. Our room master Lillith was absolutely great!
I will say, the room itself is fairly small and because you really only do one puzzle at a time (for the most part) we found that 4 people was the perfect amount. I think any more may feel a bit like “too many cooks in the kitchen” and make it harder.
Overall, great experience especially for those trying out escape rooms for the first time.
