Fun for all - Laid back

Prices are right in front of you so no surprises. Simple instruction, lots of colors to choose from as well as a variety of ceramics ranging from under $10 to over $60. Lots of choices at or around $20 per piece. One week turn around to come pick up your masterpiece.

We visit the location inside Clackamas Town Center. Friendly staff, clean store and they offer tips to help your artistic ability shine. Their inventory does change so the pieces are not always the same. This is nice.

Had a fun, relaxing time painting my own pottery!

I was introduced to Rose City Ceramics when I bought a Groupon for them. They have two locations, one in Beaverton at the Cedar Hills Crossing on the inside of the mall at 3205 SW Cedar Hills Blvd. Beaverton OR, 97005, and their phone number is 503-533-8155.

The other location, which is the one my mother and I visited, is in the Clackamas Town Center, in the lower level next to Sears at 12000 SE 82nd Ave. Happy Valley, OR 97086, and their number is 503-908-7943.

I really thought that the place was awesome! First off, the staff is extremely friendly. The manager there was a thrill and we really enjoyed talk to her. At this store, the way it works is that on one side of the walls they have many, many different ceramic pieces that you can choose from (letters, plates, bowls, cups, figurines, piggy banks, vases, serving platters, you name it) and they all have a price listed below them (starting at $15 for simple things such as letters and going up in price depending on size/complexity of what you pick. For example, an 8 ounce cup was $16, and I wanted a large cup, so it had a higher price tag of a little over $20). The price that you see below this item represents the entire cost you will pay for your project: this includes the ceramic piece you want to paint, any painting supplies, the money it takes to power the kiln and glaze the item, etc. There are no additional fees or charges, which I think is really beneficial. It's very easy to understand and up front.

This place has a great selection of ceramic pieces to choose from, as well as a great selection of paint colors and painting tools. The entire area was clean and well lit, and we found that there was plenty of space for people to work. They even offer complimentary coffee, cocoa, and tea, and had some nice music playing low in the background! We found the entire experience to be almost therapeutic. It was a great way to relax and simultaneously do something productive. No requirements are necessary, unless you're doing a party. This isn't just for little kids either; anyone who is interested in painting ceramics as a gift or for themselves should feel free to go! They even have an adults night once a month in the evening where you can bring in alcohol and drink while painting! Go figure! :)

I would absolutely 100% go back to this place again!
