Great view but nothing else

No hiking spots. A few short trails that lead to benches and more views. Seams like it was deemed a state park, then forgotten about.

The view was amazing, the grounds were clean even for families and I will come back with friends.
This time it was only me and my wife but we travel a lot and wanted to see this for ourself.
I think Hawaii is coming up soon!

What a view!!!!

The park is located on the top of Chehalem Ridge and can be accessed from Rt. 219. They have picnic tables and walking paths. The park is not very large but it has this unbelievable view of the valley.

Nothing great except for view

Its not that great except for the view and a trail. Might be good if we would have visited in winter. Only 3 or 4 picnic tables and a toilet. No water facility here. You can spend hardly an hour here

A cool tiny state park with a view

I like this park, but it's pretty small. The main attraction is the view, but you have to walk a bit to see past the giant trees. It's worth stopping by, but it's a bit out of the way if you aren't local.

A small park with not much to offer

This park seems to be popular despite the fact that it doesn't have much going for it. The views are decent but there are better views to be had nearby. It seems really popular in the winter when people with 4x4's take price in making up there in the snow and then proceed to drive through the grass and make a mess.

Great view

Small stop, pretty much a lookout rest area. Misread a different review and was curious about nude bicyclists, did not see any.

Amazing views

Amazing views. Not a lot of parking and no amenities but a relaxing place to look at the valley below. The only problem is the rude bicyclists on the roads leading to it and in the park itself. I guess they think they own everything.

Very pretty drive up, great views

A very pretty drive up to the top, good parking area. Picnic tables in the woods great for an outdoor meal break.There were great views to the south across the Willamette valley and especially over the Ribbon Ridge AVA area.Lots of new tasting rooms visible from the top. Perhaps we didn't explore far enough but we didn't find the great views to the north to see the "big" mountains, Hood, St. Helens etc.

Excellent views off the beaten path

This little known park offered an excellent view of the mountains to the north. There were a few trails, but rather limited hiking. We encountered only a couple of other visitors during our mid-week mid-summer visit. A wonderful, quiet find!
