Columbia River Outdoors is a new company based in Hood River, OR and offering day trips on the Wild and Scenic White Salmon River. We picked this outfitter because we'd heard the two partners had a great reputation - experienced and extremely safety-conscious. The canyon is beautiful, the whitewater is exciting and refreshing. CRO's equipment and shuttle vehicles are top-notch. I'd definitely recommend this group and I'm sure I'll be back again this summer.

A group of us took a half-day trip downriver in kayaks and for me it was one of the better white water adventures I've experienced. It was one of the first where I was sincerely glad to have a helmet. The water runs high and cold due to it being glacier melt and the rapids are definitely challenging. Once or twice the river came so very close to the overhanging rocks - hence the appreciation of a helmet. A thoroughly enjoyable activity that I highly recommend.

We took the half-day 4 hour boat trip. The water was running high and cold due to the glacier melt. We hit class 4 rapids almost immediately after getting into the water - it was awesome! The entire trip down the river was exciting and fun. I wish we had chosen to take the whole day! I totally understand why everyone wants to either live here or vacation here. The area is beautiful and there is so much to do. The car ride from the Portland airport to Hood River is worth the cost of the trip by itself.

Our wedding party had a great white water rafting adventure. Our guide Matt was the best and was very helpful. Thanks for showing a spectacular river and time!!!

We had a amazing day. We did the whole day white water rafting trip. Trevor was our wonderful guide. They are a profession company that provided us a day we won’t soon forget. The husum falls was the cherry on top of the day. We highly recommend this trip.

Went with a group of co-workers and Tina took us on a fabulous ride that finished with a "smooth" ride down the falls and a fun experience riding the bull down rattlesnake rapids. The entire operation is top notch and run by a group of people who truly love their jobs and take customer service seriously. Cheers to Zoeller and Tina!

I went rafting with Zoller's Outdoor Odysseys in June and was blown away by the spectacular scenery and fun rafting! Amazing river with an interesting history (the dam was removed in 2011, allowing the river to run free, which changed the topography). Beautiful place.

This was one of the best white water rafting trips that we have been on. Our captian (Connor) was excellent. He instructed us on how and when to paddle, especially before going over the waterfall.

Jake made our adventure even better than imagined. Very knowledgeable as a river guide and as a historian. Very interesting factoids of the rivers past and geology. KEEP IT UP JAKE!!!!

We are visiting the area in September. It has been a very long time since we rafted and our 7 and 9yr old kids have never rafted. Which company would you recommend for a great experience for first-timers?

Zoeller's White Water rafting is great for the whole family. They can accommodate the little ones as well as their grandparents. Top notch team and safety and fun are their top priorities.
