Stopped after a day of sightseeing. Taylor was our server. She is a treasure. We did a wine tasting only, but had a great visit with her. She told us not only about the wines we tasted, but also about the area.

Great Food, Ok Atmosphere (just off the highway and you can hear it), and good wines.
We stopped for lunch and a tasting. The daily specials hit the spot as being incredibly good. The wines are tasty, but not over the top. The big down was sitting outside with all the highway noise.

Phelps Creek now has a tasting room on the west side of Hood River. It is a beautiful spot with inside and outside seating. We were able to sit outside and enjoy lunch and a tasting. The food was very good - plentiful and fresh - although it is not an extensive menu (they augment it with specials). The wines were also good and our server was excellent. We made a reservation which is not required but it is a smaller place so not a bad idea.

People at the winery were very nice, helpful and polite….have to say we were not impressed with the wine….not on my

Absolute perfection! Our picnic and wine tasting at the Homestead was incredible. Each wine was better than the last - we purchased an entire case! The picnic basket of cheese, crackers, meat, and snacks far exceeded our expectations, and it was far more generous than the standard in the area. The vineyard is the most picturesque setting - it rivals any California or west Oregon vineyard. The hosts welcomed us with such hospitality and kindness - by far our best visit in the Gorge, and would recommend to all!

Initially was doing a trip around the "fruit loop" in the Hood River area when we discovered the Phelps Creek Vineyards. We did some wine tasting and discovered wines that are some of the best I have ever tasted. Many award winning wines and a tasting room on the golf course. Ambiance and superb wines. The Pinot Noir is the most fantastic wine. The Voignier and Chardonnay are perfect white wines for sea food and pork.

If you're in or traveling through Hood River you need to stop by their tasting room to sample their excellent range of Pinot Noirs (and the Lynette Chardonay is also super good)! If you don't live in the area, don't worry about placing an online order - you won't be disappointed!

Phelps Creek makes some amazing wines especially Pinot Noirs and Chardonnay. Lynette one of the owners is a gem to talk too.

Fabulous wine, especially Pinot Noirs! Great Chardonnay as well, with French oak aging. Very friendly and knowledgeable server.

I've been drinking PCV wines for many years. The Mt. Defiance "Brimstone" is my daily drinking wine. The boutique wines are those that I drink on special occasions.
