This was a stop on the Fruit Loop that I am sure will appeal to young and old. We stopped in primarily to view the alpacas, but also spent time in the small shop that sells alpaca fleece and finished goods from Peru and other South American countries. We purchased some feed and enjoyed feeding the alpacas who very gentle.

Stopped here before starting day of wine tasting. Owners were very friendly, several alpacas to feed and cute little shop.

Our kids loved feeding and petting the alpacas. Bring a quarter for a scoop of food to feed them right out of your hand. They ask to limit to one cup per family, so one quarter is all you need. We also had a great time talking to the owner, petting the cats, watching a demonstration and checking out the yarns in the gift shop. This was a nice stop on our way from Spokane to Portland.

We stopped here with our 10 year old daughter. She had fun feeding the young alpacas. We enjoyed a nice chat and demonstration from the owner. the gift shop was cozy. He showed us had to spin the wool and how things were made. nice visit.

We pet the alpacas, fed them and enjoyed watching them. The store is cozy and nice filled with nice yarn products and apparatus. We bought some warm socks. The owner was very nice and informative. There are two cats who own the place 😆 and the place is guarded by a huge gentle white dog who can't get enough of your attention and petting. The visit was the highlight of our first day in Hood River area. Highly recommend.

Great stop along the Fruit Loop. Such cuties, oh those faces.
I do not knit, I just wanted to go see those darling faces.
If you are interested in a pet alpaca, they have a Male Pet Alpaca free to a good home. Sure wish we could have taken one home.
A couple families were there looking at these guys. The owner or worker never came out, and we never went inside the small store. We just stopped by to see those eyes. You should too, they're precious.

The wife and I were driving down the road to visit Mt. Hood, the mountain, from the Town of Mt. Hood, when we saw a sign for this attraction. My wife is into fiber and yarn, so off we went. The alpacas were super friendly, maybe because I bought a cup of food to feed them. We went in the store portion and the young lady working there was super friendly and helpful! She was the most helpful person we met on our trip! My wife liked the fibers and bought some. A great stop!

The drive was beautiful, the alpacas interested in us and the best was seeing a baby that was just born two hours previous to our arrival. The young woman who was working at the alpaca yarn store told us all about alpaca births and baby bonding. Of course I just had to buy some alpaca yarn. It was labeled from the exact alpacas from which it was obtained. No inexpensive but soft and a unique experience for me to see the animals from which the yarn was obtained. Unique for everyone!

We saw a brochure for this place at our hotel .So the next day we went off to find us some Alpacas. The route has great signage and is easy to find. You end up at the end of a long winding driveway. We immediately saw cute Alpacas, they were everywhere! We took pics with them. You can buy food out of a little candy machine for a quarter to feed them, that was very fun, And the people who own this place were genuinely nice. I cannot say enough good things about this place. They of course sell yarn and some ladies were oooing and ahhing over the lovely yarn but we just wanted to see alpacas.

We arrived late, just before 5, and the young boy in the shop was informing us we needed to hurry and make a selection. When we were leaving the owner was closing the gate and offered to let us stay and browse but we didn't want to make them stay open late for us so we left.
Would of liked to have a bit more selection of items to buy to support the store/business but not being a knitter there wasn't much we were interested in so we didn't end up buying anything.
