This is an enjoyable easy hike right in the middle of the town. There are no sleep inclines (other than the long and steep flights of steps at the downtown entrance/exit) We began our hike at the trailhead near Dutch Bros, hiked to the downtown for lunch and then hiked back, great opportunity for exercise. There are places for refreshments at both ends! Much of the trail follows an abandoned wooden water tunnel which is interesting.

Almost three miles of trail along Indian creek is a perfect venue for a little exercise and a wonderful dog walk. On a hot day barclay takes a couple of dips in the creek

We enjoyed the long and steep stairs to downtown Hood River. They are interesting and historical as they’ve been there since 50 years ago when my mom lived here. She enjoyed taking the stairs again after all these years!

Accessing the trailhead from downtown is fairly easy...just go up a very long flight of stairs and follow the signs. This trail gives a nice view of Eagle Creek and Hood River (the river), as well as glimpses of highway 35. Of interest is the old abandoned wooden water pipe which parallels the trail and the history behind it as given by a special sign at the top end of the trail. The trail can be accessed from the highlands part of Hood River or from downtown.

The trail is well groomed, has new bridges, rails and signs. It was a gravel based path so wear running shoes. It is about 1.3 miles round trip and a great little hike that takes you up to the top of the hill through the neighborhood. Saw evidence of possible camps just so you know.

The trail is short. It doesn't really go anywhere exciting. A little bit around the community college, then out to the bluff. Maybe 2-3 miles total of trail. If they expand it south somehow, maybe that would make it more worthwhile...

This path goes between the neighbors of Hood River. It is a delightful place to take a walk or run. Walking your dog here is pleasant. In the late summer you will find wild berries to pick along the way.

This trail is actually pretty long, but it is not contiguous; there are a couple of breaks where you have to cross a road to continue, so not ideal. Still, each section has its charms.

Paths are kept up very nicely and most parts are family friendly and there are picnic benches to set and relax at. Great opportunity for pictures.

I walk the trail at the high school and the last few times I've ran into people that did not have their dogs on leashes and one dog bite my feet not hard then tonight I saw a dog he started growling at me I had to wait for the owner to pull him away so I could get by. Dogs must be on leashes am I correct ?

Dog 's must either be on a leash or in the owners arms or trained to stay beside their owner if not they our considered to be in violation. It is called a Dog at large if that helps. If you where bitten I would report it.
