walked out to the sand spit mid river and had a great time. Warning, it can get pretty windy out there.

A nice, flat walk from either the Best Western or the Hampton Inn, we walked from the former, where we stayed. The path curves under the $2 (at the time of this review) toll bridge to/from the state of Washington, along the Columbia River, the port, the museum, and the visitor's center, where one can pick up brochures and, from the helpful staff, information about the area.

I love Bridges and therefore love this one as well. If you like Bridges it is well worth the trip and the $2 to drive across it. Ask for the park well, it's a chunk of grass next to a really cool Bridge

Awesome water front park with beach access. Right across the street from coffee, food and beer. Kids can easily play here for hours. We come every time we are in the area.

This park is very accessible and there are a vast amount of sights to see. The water is close and clean.

Lots of great restaurants and activities at the park. There is a little river beach as well where the kids love to swim.

We stopped in at Stokes for coffee and then went to the Festival at Port Marina Park. There was lots of parking and restrooms and the festival had a bunch of vendors. The park itself was clean and nicely maintained with places to swim, kiteboard, etc.

Interesting drive across the bridge (toll, but very cheap). Great views of Mt. Hood from the Washinton side at the visitors centre, just west of the bridge.

Took the advise of an earlier TripAdvisor contributor, and visited this park. We did walk over from the Best Western with our lawn chairs. Yes, there is a fee for parking, but not for walking!
It was a sunny weekend morning, and yes a bit "breezy." This typical summer day allowed us to watch the wind surfers and paddle boarders do their thing. A fun morning of "people watching." So much activity taking place, but had a nice morning to do some reading as well.
This is a fun place to go watch the fun in Hood River!

We went down to the park for several days and did some sun bathing as well as boarding. There is parking at only $8 / day. Beach was nice and not crowded. Water was beautiful and the park was clean and well kept up.
